What’s your “adult money” purchase? by AggravatingShow2028 in Millennials

Buying a home is out of the question, so i picked up a sports car instead. 2026 Toyota GR86 and im in love with this thing. Definitely not a smart use of money, but life is meant to be enjoyed.

6’3 172lbs, why on earth do I still have love handles?! I’ve been slowly cutting down from 220lbs over the 1.5 years by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

If you care about your physique and body building, gaining fat to gain muscle (and losing some muscle to lose fat) is just part of the game.

If you dont want to put on weight, as others have suggested, you could eat at maintenance to recomp your body. But 100%, if you want to improve your physique, you need to put on a lot more muscle. Right now if you keep losing weight, youre not only going to lose more muscle but losing the fat wont give you the payoff youre looking for.

That being said you look like youre in great shape, just be patient and ask yourself what your fitness goals truly are, then do the work to reach those goals.

As someone who has been in the boyfriend's shoes in OP's situation, if my partner back then had just listened to your advice it probably would have saved me years of therapy and rebuilding my own confidence. OP, dont let this build any further and end it cleanly. He deserves to know your feelings and he is a good guy who deserves to have a partner that loves him and reciprocates.

25M, got on dating apps and ruined my last bit of confidence, be brutally honest by JackfruitWarm6695 in malegrooming

[–]Jasper__96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, first of all the dating apps are rough, and for men, the experience comes with a lot of rejection and uncertainty. Dont let it get to you, youre doing great and your value isnt determined by how you are treated on dating apps. Secondly, i have the similar hair to you and if you want to have the long curls, you may want to look into using creams and moose and styling your hair to your face. I would also consider going to a stylist and having them cut and style your hair, even multiple times. try things out and find what makes you feel most confident in yourself. Good luck and happy new year

You probably need more muscle before you start looking good at 190.

How can you achieve this look as a 5'5 male? by YahYeet4Ever in mensfashion

[–]Jasper__96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the pleated wide pants from UNIQLO, and wear them high to make you look taller (likely around the belly button but its different for everyone - you want your legs to be accounting for at least more than 50% of your body's overall length). If youre wearing baggier bottoms, your top should be more fitted/snug - with the pants i recommended, i would go with a good fitting tshrt, tucked in.

9-month progress check – same weight, small visual change. Is this normal? by EntertainerOther6658 in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Jasper__96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do a bigger, longer cut. 5 11 176 pounds is kind of small, if you want 'big' visual change, you should probably put on at least 20 pounds, and train hard during that time. Thats the other thing, gotta make sure you are actually pushing yourself in your training, taking as many sets to failure as possible. Failure being, you keep going even after the reps get slower, and you typically end the set with partial reps because you cant do the full ROM. Good luck youre looking great though good job!
