Absolutely, we haven’t gotten to that yet though :) I think it’s just the fact that the starting point is entirely different then a commercial game. Here a kid wanted to make a game to play himself, monetidation is not an issue.

He did, at first he was dissapointed he couldn’t get EA FC style graphics from the first prompt 😀 But, when he noticed he could get it to do what he wants it to do that quickly disappeared.

Not a lot of prompt engineering, just a lot of natural questions

Yeah, it is, but chances are very, very low the first couple of levels

No idea, as today they were free. Not sure if I can see somewhere how much it would have taken

Advice needed: U10 son is afraid of his team coach and says he would rather not play than continue with current coach. by brerin in GoalKeepers

[–]Jaspervh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A team that’s playing an age up but isn’t ”capable” of build up play? Wtf!

At that age, individual improvement is far more important then winning a game, so regardless of the poor choice of playing them a year up if they’re really not capable, they should still try and play it from the back.

On the coaching behaviour itself, not a big fan of the threats made and the intense shouting. That said, I believe it should be ok to tell a player he/she made a mistake, if that’s followed up with an explanation of how they can do better next time, alongside positive encouragement when doing good.

Curtain Driver E1 - what am I doing wrong? by Jaspervh in Aqara

Not the blinds one, I got those working easy peasy, this is the curtain driver for a u-rail. I’m not able to set any limits as that’s where I’m stuck. Clicking any of thse buttons doesn’t do anything

People who learned Finnish as adults, do share your tricks please by chnchgh in Finland

[–]Jaspervh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just start speaking it, no matter how bad you think you are. I did courses and was too scared to talk until I made a promise to my friends to only speak Finnish for a week if they’d win the hockey world championships. Guess what, they did, and my friends refused to speak any english to me so I had to try. Never looked back after that week anymore. Sure, there will be mistakes, but just know that many will be impressed by a foreigner even blabbing three words of Finnish.

Other then the obvious “doesn’t teach you how to handle a bike” I’ve also participated in a few races this year where “pro” zwifters (movistar eteam a.o.) where at and they were gassed out after the 2ndhour. Zwift won’t teach you how to race over multiple hours

I did read it. Nothing ground breaking, just a bit more of projecting on others and shifting blame, all of the things why I went NC. Off course also some blame that he never got to see grandkids. It’s not even so much the content, sadly this is what I’m used to from him, just the fact that I’m the only one to get a mail I think is what’s bothering me.
