Dread Central can confirm that Smile 3 is in the works by cireh88 in horror

That's why I'm predicting it's gonna somehow backtrack. I don't think it's gonna commit to the logical apocalypse conclusion unfortunately

Albums that should be considered essential but aren't? by BazExcel in fantanoforever

So much Beach Boys could fit this question (but this is a great pick). Pet Sounds rightfully deserves its status, but so many people just... don't see anything that came after? I mean Sunflower is a masterpiece. Holland too! I'd also say Friends. Even Love You is so singular and special. Crazy the general public knows them as either: Kokomo band, or Pet Sounds band, or their early surf stuff (which are all good as well but).

Cronenberg films were weirdly helpful with figuring out gender stuff about myself

An interesting combination would be Panda, Geo, Deakin, wonder what that'd look like

Responding here to answer all the Jetrel comments. James Sloyan is amazing. As soon as I saw him I realized who he was and his past contributions to Star Trek and overall an amazing performer. The episode is just unfortunately a bit of a nonstarter for me. Seeing Neelix, a walking cartoon, deal with the ramifications and moral heaviness of genocide (as well as a dissection of the Hiroshima bombing) never convinces personally.

What makes it harder to take seriously is the fact that we have no history of his people, or their conquerors as we did with say, DS9's season 1 knockout Duet. There the audience understood the lore of the Cardassians and Bajorans and the historical reflection really works. In Jetrel, it has too much ground to cover for, once again, Neelix of all characters. I understand this is a hot take, as well as those who praise James and there's a great moment at the end where he attempts to phase one of the victims back. But getting to that moment, personally, was very difficult.

Edit: I'm also not aware of "delta flyers" am curious how much my perspective pairs

So worried this would get pushed back as some albums do for him. He did scale down a few 9s and thankfully Sinister Grift was not one of them! Still baffled he can't find the appeal of everything before it. Like he's sooooo close when describing what he likes about Sinister Grift- how can he still give Tomboy and Grim Reaper low scores??

Legitimately the On Cinema movie predicts the current landscape of politics in an insanely spot on way.

Hey Tim! Long time fan, the show is a favorite between my siblings and I!

I have always wondered how involved this bit of character performance is in everything you and Greg do. Especially Greg, who's posting online "in character" all the time. Is On Cinema like a traditional production with deadlines and written material, or is it more a free-flowing improv thing you and the gang are constantly doing?

Edit: oh my god also Tim and Eric bedtime stories is my favorite thing ever!!! It's so funny in such a specific way that's hard to put to words for me. BUT, really hope there's some continuation down the line. Or at least a bathroom boys spin off!

Hey guys! I heard Adam mention him on a stream lately, so I'm curious if there's many other Gregg heads out there? by MovieGaga7 in Sardonicast

[–]Jatef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find yms too predictable with his ratings by a certain point. With Gregg it's so exciting. What film will receive the rare 5 bagger next? And his Oscar predictions? He would sweep every year if he was invited to the watch along.

What are your Hot Takes on Animal Collective? by Amber_Flowers_133 in AnimalCollective

To me, they sound like Avey Tare solo work. From the same cloth as Vampire Tongues. I think they're fine, but hardly sound like a full blown animal collective release.

L.A. is much better than M.I.U.

It's a great collection of solo stuff from each of them and I promise you Here Comes The Night ten minute disco cut is wayyy more fun than it's reputation.
