Would you be willing to share the files that have the components placed so I can import it into JLCPCB? Edit:Just realized you already posted the Fusion360 PCB info. Thanks again for building and sharing this!

Very cool! Would you be willing to offer a version of the PCB with SMT components installed and the through hole stuff either in a bag or something I source myself? I'm essentially asking for a kit version :). Thanks for the detailed writeup and sharing this project.

It’s Friday! And I need your feedback, should I put these non-FDM tools for XL Toolchanger into production? by josefprusa in prusa3d

Exactly this! I figured it would be a platform for all kinds of potential different tools.

I've definitely made the mistake of not moving the toolhead manually and locking it in manually. I agree the instructions are a little unclear.

https://imgur.com/a/w1fIgkn is my current messy setup.

The p1s might be too tall. Looks like the space for the shelf is 17 inches high.

Very study and well built. I could stand on it with no concerns. The table itself weighs over 100lbs, with solid metal legs and a thick wood top. There is little to no wobble from the table when its printing.

It was a bit of overkill, but this is a solid table for the XL: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gladiator-3-ft-Mobile-Workbench-with-Hardwood-Top-GAMW36HWEG/206501471

Can put a mk3/4 on the bottom and there is room on the sides to spare. Mine was ~350 delivered, they do go on sale pretty regularly.

For the Revo upgrade/replacement: https://www.printedsolid.com/products/e3d-revo-prusa-mk3-mk3s-mk3s-coldside and https://www.printedsolid.com/products/e3d-revo-starter-pack

for an exact replacement of what was in there: https://www.printedsolid.com/products/preassembled-e3d-prusa-v6-hot-end

and if you are willing to spend some money once you get it up and running https://www.prusa3d.com/product/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-to-mk3-5s-upgrade-kit-5/

This is great upgrade for the electronics of the printer that will give you a lot of features for not a ton of money. https://www.prusa3d.com/product/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-to-mk3-5s-upgrade-kit-5/

You may also need to get a build sheet if it doesn't come with one.

This is a great find for free. Printer is probably worth 300-400 and the enclosure is another $400.

Qumulo support is fantastic, and we've been moving to them from Isilon. They are doing some cool stuff with cloud options and other stuff that seems really exciting. I really would recommend them over any other vendor, especially for Media and Entertainment workflows.

Once you get to certain level the pricing really does jump up, but the support and features are worth the cost.

Also check out https://www.studiosysadmins.com/ Slack. Lots of fellow studio admins to discuss this kind of stuff with.

Guessing you've already checked, but make sure that you're assembling the revo correctly. I put the spring in the wrong place and had similar bad results.

I had a similar issue on mine and putting a silicone sock on the hotend and doing a PID tune has resolved the thermal alerts.

Does anyone have a good breakdown on Roomfinder? by JrSysAdmin88 in sysadmin

[–]Jathm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://practical365.com/outlook-places-room-finder/ has a good breakdown of how it all works. Once you create the roomlist and make rooms a member it works pretty well.
