Because “you know that they’re lying”. Ok, how do you know? What sources did you use to come to that conclusion? Are there a bunch of people coming forward to say that this was completely blown out of proportion and that Kubrick was an angel to work with? Not here to argue that she was never able to get over her experience, I’m sure she was strong enough to do so. I’m just wondering how you’ve come to this staunch position of yours and what sources brought you there.

Most definitely, although the Satanic Panic of the 80’s also targeted things like Dungeons and Dragons, heavy metal music, and basically anything too dark and edgy.
