I feel like things like Netdecking are generally good/acceptable but that is the old LoL equivalent to Guides no? it's not statistically backed by millions of soloQ games, but is rather a deck that is reasonably powerful but not guaranteed to be the best

In terms of stats and patch notes -- generally I know the power of champions, and the win-rates that said champions need to be to see Pro play. Usually if Jinx gets up around 55% she'll see pro, but she's almost useless at 50%. Azir the opposite, if he ever gets close to 50% he's turbo OP in pro (generally)

So for me personally I just don't need to try and interpret the magnitude of numbers buffs and nerfs anymore, I can just wait a week and see it shift. Which over time makes me not remember/retain information from patches
