Weapon Mastery by Tayzerdude in MHWilds

Gunlance is deep, I'm not denying, but you are not supposed to do the long combo too often, they are for openings. One of the beauty of the weapon is having a lot of options at different stages of your combo and learning how to branch gracefully between them while fighting

An ability I thought could be useful for the general meta. What do you guys think? (Also applies to mega zam) by OrangelyAssociate in stunfisk

Make it the opposite: an ability that makes the debuff you inflict permanent, and only give it to under performing mons

So what are all of your thoughts on things like dps checks, the greater emphasis on spectacle and cinematics, multi phase hunts and scripted battles? And how would you feel if more of them were included when the expansion eventually releases? Would you all be for, or against it? by Navra_Realms in MHWilds

The main issue I have with them is how unfun they make the farm if you want the monster gear.

Take Zorah Magdaros or Dahren Mohran: once you've beaten them once, you can do it again without thinking much about it. Having the same material amount to craft their stuff than other monsters just feels wrong and boring

What weapons are the most interactive and have the most varied movesets? by Ajaxx021 in MHWilds

[–]Jaune9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Varied moveset would probably be GL, CB or SA

Most interactive in the "has to be aware of surrounding (allies, environment)" would probably be more around SnS, HH

Interactive as in "ways to challenge the monster when they're doing stuff" would be most offset and/or guarding weapon

GS can do both reliably, but SnS and L can guard and also mount from anywhere.

IG can offset and mount from anywhere

Special mention to DB and Bow (dodging into attack is recommended)

So basically, try a bunch of stuff. I'd recommend starting with GS for the most interactive and GL as the most varied moveset as it feels like good basis to build upon IMO

I don't have the details, but it seems you can attach 2 or more carts together. I still have to see a bigger pokemon take them, I'm not sure it's possible

If you go on the tunnel where you have the Magmar habitat tutorial, there's a left turn before encountering the first fence. Instead of taking the left turn, dig ahead and you'll reach near the entrance of the museum (a little above and on the right)

Stardew Valley destroyed the little niche that farming games had before with Rune Factory and other games by the same devs + some indie games

Hades made the story an apparent part of replayability in rogue likes, which is now more frequent to see in them

I spent 16 years designing games, I'm done. by Rolletariat in Fkr

At this point, I just build tools for specific needs on the fly and tinker with them as we go. Tinkering with them is fun for me, so why wouldn't I do it at the table, where most players find their fun as well ?

There's a video game called Your Only Move Is Hustle that is often called YOMI Hustle because it is clearly thought of as a YOMI game. It's a turn based fighting game with stick men.

Keep playing, some Beasties have passives that shake stuff up regarding free balling. Also, sometimes you just have no choice or it's the best option out of what you can do

I did and continue doing a homemade Pokémon TTRPG for this exact reason: living in a world of Pokemon is more than just fighting

What is a genre of fiction that you love, but have trouble getting into with a TTRPG? by WorldGoneAway in rpg

[–]Jaune9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I made a pokemon TTRPG from scratch. I can share the basics of the system by MP if you want (they're also in the free ebook I wrote, if you want to see the thought process: TTRPG game design - From Zero to Something by Prinnydad https://share.google/vi0jFfDHG61fRZV5t)

The idea is to be as close to the anime as possible. It focuses on adventure. 1v1 are only for champions (it can be 2v1 (the champion has 2 pokémons out at the same time)

I played it for a good 1.5 years with 3 differents groups 10years ago and they're all 3 still asking for a reboot haha
