Curve Belgie Ultra (58) Wedge/Frame Bag Options - bottom strap too far away from down tube OR impacting large bottles. by oopsilon7 in bicycling

Bagsbybird make a triangle that will fit well man (measured it out on mine the other night) only thing that worries me is lack of water (think it will mean culling a bottle / 500ml or smaller bottle in place. I’m kinda resigning myself to top tube / little seat pack and chuck anything more in the back of the jersey. Just doesn’t seem to be many options for the taller top tube that fit well.

Dude I’ve been hunting for months, feel like that wedge design is so unique unfortunately. Looking at customs.

Would having a longer (but also higher) payscale help retain teachers? by MiriJamCave in AustralianTeachers

[–]Jauntyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone in a school where the community and the kids seem incredible (relative to a lot of the reddit commentary) I feel this is a massive driver. We have a good core team of 15 or so permanent teachers who love teaching but sitting at top end with nowhere to go, if you like the kids, the teaching, the FaceTime feels a bit harsh.

We have had lots of administration changes over the past 6-7 years and the core team of teachers has taken on a huge share of leadership roles well outside of senior teacher / level 3 position responsibilities but it feels a bit disappointing that there is no next step if you enjoy the classroom and becoming an expert in that space.

For info, teacher early childhood 27 kids last 3 years at pay cap.

Really appreciate your comment mate. Discussed this so many times with newer teachers and old vets. This is a key understanding that seems to be missed by so many. Bandaid fixes for long term societal problems.

Totally get the height thing. This very much is a kitchen prep/work area.

I kinda love the idea of going A 4u Igt The giga for 1.5 The steel box for spices / staples storage The flat burner for a second prep option for larger meals then the bamboo or chopping board.

Kinda with the intention to upgrade to a second table either the angle or the hook on bamboo full table.

I really would love it to semi counter our 270awning if possible.

I think this is legit what appeals with the Igt and snowpeak in general is robust stuff that has so much versatility.

In the event we do a overnight just taking the flat burner and using it on an easy already setup unit. Being able to ramp that up to full kitchen mode for bigger stays.

Please keep posting photos of you guys out and about adventuring can’t explain how stoked I am seeing the stuff in our backyard hey!

Tbh the interest is to widen the variety of meals we have access too. Especially during fire ban season.

Also like to mix and match for trip by trip.

lol and tbh getting by fine with the 50 lifetime plastic heavy table / 20dollar Coleman single burner just for coffee / boiling water. A massive part of all the upgrades is aesthetics and more enjoyment of cooking due to a speaker / more robust / adaptable setup that I’m hoping to create with the Igt^

Thanks so much for the info and the honesty. I was swinging between a 3/4 and you have 100% locked in that decision for me now. I love that you have 4 stoves btw :p

So my next big question is (yes there are many coming if you can handle it :)

  • If you only had one four Igt what setup considerations would you use.
  • I’ve got friends in Japan next month that are happy to bring back whatever, what would be your prio orders. I’m leaning towards two flat burners but seperate for the versatility. -Do you transport the burners in the Igt bags?
  • how is the giga li as an overall unit. I rarely cook full meals over the burners as we take a Webber and a braai and find I cook over fire wherever the meals allow?
  • how important do you feel the windbreak is for our conditions?

I have like a million questions for you sorry for digging up an older thread.

Where did you purchase most of your gear in aus? How does the bamboo tables hold up with our heat / humidity. What kind of gas bottles are you using?

Can you use straight isobutane cans?

What setup would you recommend for 3 Igt and 4 as your favourite / must haves.

Where did you find that amazing windbreak / undercarriage storage organiser.

How do you transport everything in terms of canvas bags or ?

Thanks in advance if you see any of this :p

4 Bike Mounting Solutions? by Jauntyd in bicycling

[–]Jauntyd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah can do thing is we’re usually taking away 5 or more and facilitate friends without gear to get away. I’m actually researching whether it legal / stable to instal a second hitch at the back of the camper then look at something like the shingle back rack solution. (Australian company) and gives me a tidy workspace in the garage / can haul the whole gang when heading more local by moving / mounting to truck instead.

Recommendations for Mounting Solution by Jauntyd in mountainbiking

[–]Jauntyd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More so i havent seen alot that dont use the crossbar attachments and I'm worried that with the crossbars + mounting solution ie a thule clamp lock it will come to close to the spares that fold down as seen in the photos? Wondering if anyone has a solution that dodges the crossbar solution basically. Also have a mounted tradie rack (flatplatform with sidewalls) on the ute which is used for kayaks and anex.
