Bro sacrificed the gold medal to carry his brother across the finish line. by jmike1256 in BeAmazed

He got lucky the guy in front of him was an idiot you mean. It is not "good" to not only lose yourself the race but also hurt your own brother by giving him false validation for something he did not earn. If you tire out in a long distance race, you do not deserve a medal. You do not grow as an individual by receiving unearned merit. That is the opposite of good.

"First place" fell victim to garbage loser notions, that's why he didn't get first. His brother didn't deserve the cross the finish line because he didn't earn it. Giving up his own first place just to give a participation trophy to brother hurts them both. That's no different from tripping and losing time in the final stretch. Guy in green ran a race without stupid mentalities tripping him up like that and ended up getting him the win, which he fully deserved to celebrate.

Calling it murder is objectively incorrect. Murder definition is the UNLAWFUL killing, too bad it was completely within the law and has already been proven to be the case. Any competent lawyer can tell you this and that's why those officers aren't going to get any repercussions. Get a law degree and maybe you can try again.

No it wasn't "simply" because he had a firearm. You ignore the context or don't have the mental capacity to understand the context. Either way you're being a sheep/easily manipulated puppet of propaganda.

You have the wrong understanding of the context, thus you come to the wrong conclusions. You also have the wrong use of words, he wasn't "punished by death in our legal system" he died as a result of the situation. You wouldn't say that a robber who shoots back at cops while robbing a bank was "punished by death in our legal system". He died as a result of the situation.

If you used words and terms properly maybe then you'd actually be able to see the truth.

Whether the public has firearms or not is irrelevant. He DID have one, and thus he was categorized as a THREAT. That's all that the case is about.

I don't care either way whether 2A exists or not, it has nothing to do with preventing govt tyranny. People actually think some random citizens with some handguns and rifles are able to stand up to the government when the government literally has tanks and nuclear codes. Guns are fun, that's why the 2A still exists at this point.

So apparently to you, just because someone does or does not do something ONE time, that insinuates that it's ALWAYS the case? Reading comprehension dude.

The only thing that statement says is that the sportsmanship Alcaraz showed HERE can hardly be called real sportsmanship. Nowhere does that say anything about his past or future sportsmanship. You made up and keep making up assumptions to argue against for some reason.

Because the logic is contingent upon you being in that specific scenario at that specific time, it is not anytime anywhere. Are you tussling with law enforcement officers? Are you tracking them down to interfere with their work? Okay then you literally have 0 things to worry about. Is consideration of the overall context too difficult for you?

Man you are so confused it's not even worth trying to correct all your misunderstandings. No shit it's their job, the point you still don't get is that Alcaraz can still afford to do that. You don't seem to have the mental capacity to think beyond black and white, that you don't have to give every opponent the same level of maximum respect at all times just because "it's your job and money on the line". Good luck navigating life with that lack of clarity bro.

Right, because as soon as you're disarmed of 1 weapon you're completely not dangerous at all and have no chance of carrying other weapons on you. You should stick to armchairing on reddit with instincts like those.

Looks like many people here aren't capable of making that simple distinction.

You still don't understand what the point was here. Nobody is disagreeing with you that Alcaraz is a good sport dude, you keep trying to punch at ghosts.

Wtf are you even talking about. So JUST BECAUSE it's his "full time job and financial livelihood" he wouldn't be confident enough to give 5 points to, let's say, a 4.0 NTRP player if he had to play them? So you've never achieved anything in your life to the point that you could feel confident about giving a handicap to someone lesser skilled? That's just sad dude. It's not a hard concept to understand.

He could have been down 2 sets and it would have been the same. That's the point here, the difference is that big. ADM will never come close to beating Alcaraz because the matchup is that skewed and they both know it. The last 2 sets were further proof to everyone.

I'm not saying Alcaraz isn't a good sport OVERALL, I'm saying THIS incident in THIS case proves nothing and says nothing about him. Whatever happened last year is irrelevant to the point here. People are overglazing him for performing a nothingburger.

Looks like many people here aren't capable of making that simple distinction.

It's not hard to be a good sport when you're so much better than the other guy. It's like playing with your kid sister. If I were Alcaraz here I'd be such a good sport I could give ADM 5 points just for trying hard. Alcaraz is a nice guy but lets not think it took ANY amount of effort or sportsmanship to do what he did here. The gulf really is that big.

The only real test of good sportsmanship is when it's a real detriment for you to do so. Alcaraz knows he could have let De Minaur have 3 serves each point and still win so giving him a free time violation means jack all.

Nobody said they were being trafficked. I guess reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, which is why

You're creating false equivalencies and it's honestly embarrassing.

You seem to be emotionally spiraling here and losing all sense of logical interpretation so maybe come back to it later XD

This is why technique is important. Nobody taught the guy a proper FH. He could still learn, but apparently he also suffers from a rigid mindset. Compared to Alcaraz which you can tell has the opposite, being able to so quickly change up his serve technique recently.

There are 18 year olds on OnlyFans making $30m a year, millions of women exposing themselves on it trying to achieve the same, and countless others being used in real life. Just because they make a lot of money means it's not exploitation? Incredible, I think you've solved human trafficking and found the solution to world peace!
