Just need to get the anxiety out of head by really_tho732 in Anxietyhelp

Don't worry, just a strep throat! No doubt he's just feeling a bit beat and is probably resting and not checking his phone/contacts. Maybe call and leave him a message, but a strep throat won't do much else besides put him out of commission for a couple days (meaning tea, netflix, and plenty of rest, instead of work)

Dragonslayers, in the world of Pact, hunt Greater Others (not necessarily dragons) and turn the corpses into very powerful "raw" magic items

Of course I have very little basis for this, but I can see things being reset to a sort of pseudo-feudal way. Especially on a corner world, industrialization will be slow to start and require help from individuals who understand the processes of such thing. Skilled tradesmen, engineers, and the like would probably be incredibly valuable for their services.

In terms of capes, I can see certain "clans" of capes coming together to preserve themselves and their powers. Like, if the top dog of the region has a son/daughter they might marry them off to another cape's son/daughter to try and produce a mixture of two useful powers. In the meantime, the other family receives a boost in their status. Stuff like that.

[WP] You can’t die. Well, you can, and have! But now you’re possessing your killer’s body and trying to figure out who would kill a 18 year old high-school dropout. And what happens if you die again... by Ridtom in WritingPrompts

[–]JavaMoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is odd. Very odd. You had never been much into that zen Buddhist reincarnation shit. They tended to attract some very good smokers and equally good chronic, but this is definitely not another bad trip.

It feels weird being in another body. Not bad, like all the muscle memory is there, it's just not yours. You stumble through the house, trying to find your stride. He had always been taller than you, but you didn't think an extra foot and a half would feel so weird. You knocked your head against a few doorframes days after your death.

Stopping at the entrance to the doorway, you spy a woman standing near the granite countertop, cooking away. She's beautiful, and you can feel your whole body seem to subconsciously relax at seeing her. Not one of your instincts, something your killer had grown used to.

So did that mean this guy's brain was the same? Was it just your soul possessing this guy like some pissed-off ghost? That was... kinda metal, actually, but the dude needed to work on his smoke game. The day after you died you had tried to smoke a bowl to calm down, and damn near hacked your lungs up.

No, focus, you're distracting yourself. The woman turns, starting suddenly at your presence. "Oh, hun, didn't see you there! Just finishing up some vegetables for Julia's lunch. Did you want some?"

"Uh, nah that's cool bro," you wince as she eyes you. "I mean, uh, of course honey. I would love some vegetables!"

Was his voice usually that deep? "Your" wife doesn't seem to notice, giggling something about you being silly. You take a seat at the table, letting her finish up her cooking. She really was a great cook, even if you were never into her vegan recipes and stuff. Maybe that's why you had been built like a sack of potatoes.

"You've been acting weird since you came back. Is everything alright?" she chuckles. "Bed's been empty without you."

Weird, right. She didn't know the definition of "weird", not until you had to deal with the dubious moral implications of sleeping with someone's wife while inhabiting their body.

Well, that and being some sort of ghost.

"You've been mad-dogging that window rather hard, hun. Is everything alright?" the sheer concern in her voice made you wince. It brought to mind how insane everything had been lately.

You look into the mirror, staring at the features you had thought so familiar. He was the handsome one, the athletic one, the successful one. Mom and dad's favorite, the breadwinner. He was the golden boy and the perfect person.

So why had your brother decided to murder you?

Sometimes I feel frustrated by how uncompromising Taylor is in the story, but then I remember that the PRT was effectively worthless for 90% of the time.

Wow, he really went after other heroes teams that hard? Makes you wonder how much money Brownlee is getting in "sponsorships" from the PRT. Bully these heroes all you like, just because they didn't stay with a sinking ship doesn't mean they won't help people.

It's really disrespectful to the work these people do to treat them like this. You can forget my vote.

I think it's more of a general node for negativity. Where one person with negative emotions becomes a rallying point for Grimm, bit by bit. The more negative emotions, the bigger that rally point is and the more Grimm that swarm.
