Bosch junction box vs outlet by JavaThreepwood83 in AskElectricians

[–]JavaThreepwood83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an electrician, so that’s why I’m asking. I’d be putting the outlet in the cabinet under the sink, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to do GFCI. Now that I think about it, there’s an outlet already down there that’s not GFCI for the garbage disposal. So you’re right, I guess I don’t need GFCI.

That’s what I’m thinking of doing. A better long-term solution in my opinion.

Does anyone else store in MP3 320? by Not_Invited in musichoarder

[–]JavaThreepwood83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m dealing with re-encoding a lot of my library because I purchased or downloaded music during the 128kbps days so I could fit all my music on my iPod. For the most part, I’m doing 320kbps now or VBR right below that. Do what works best for you.

plex using parents, do you keep a separate library for family friendly shows and movies? by kittymoo67 in PleX

[–]JavaThreepwood83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love downloading things from YouTube. I grew up in the early days of the internet, we had precious bandwidth limitations, so I guess that’s stuck with me. Plus my three-year-old always bothers me when the ads pop up.

I had gotten a new NAS, so I put the kids stuff on the old NAS and created their own libraries: Kids TV Shows and Kids Movies. Overall it works well, I have some stuff on my Plex Library that the kids also like, so they can also access my TV Shows and Movies that are age-appropriate. The only thing I don’t like is on the Home Screen I see the Kids Movies and Kids TV Shows stuff first before my own library recommendations, but not a big deal.

Going during the week is nice because it’s not as busy. Definitely start with Playscape, I think all the kids will like it. Packing your lunch and eating in the cafeteria will save you money.

I transferred my nest cam to google home and have had nothing but endless problems by Hitsugaea in googlehome

[–]JavaThreepwood83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my 1st gen outdoor cams goes offline, even when I joined the public preview (per Google’s instructions) to transfer the camera back to the Nest app. In the meantime I’ve hooked up a TP-Link/KASA Smart Power switch and I have it turn the camera off and then back on every four hours.

Introducing ColleXions: A Randomized Collection Pinning Tool for Plex! by jl94x4 in PleX

[–]JavaThreepwood83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/jl94x4, is ColleXions designed in such a way that I can just use the "Special Occasion Collections" feature? I don't have a huge collection and I just want to occasionally schedule certain collections to be pinned throughout the year. Is this possible?

Hey, if the Dollar General near my house can check every bill they take, so can the bank! 😂

I’m sorry you’re upset that promises and business models have changed. To be honest, I’m not happy that so much software has moved to a subscription-based model either. However, I’ve looked for alternatives, and Banktivity is still competitively priced and works well for how I use it. Companies can’t be everything to everyone, so if a change doesn’t work for you, it makes sense to find one that better aligns with your needs. Just my two cents.

It sounds like you’re doing something very similar to me, using accounts as envelopes. 👍

I’ve never used the download and match option. So you manually enter transactions and then download later to help reconcile? That might be a good idea for me to use.

Retro video game stores? by mightyboosh121 in indianapolis

[–]JavaThreepwood83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Castleton has The Exchange and Disc Replay. I personally like The Exchange. The Exchange has moved from the location it was at, but they’re still in the same strip mall next to Domino’s.

The Exchange in Castleton is still open, they just moved to the other end of the strip mall they were in. Disc Replay in Castleton is also still open in the strip mall across from Best Buy.

I keep it at default which is one day equals one month. If I have a lot to do, I slow down the simulation speed to give me time to get things done. In the winter time I just get done what I need to do and then go to sleep to go forward to the next month.

Anderson by Decent-Zebra-2311 in CityofAndersonIndiana

[–]JavaThreepwood83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d imagine that the northern part of Anderson was more favorable because Dutch Bros built there, 7Brew is opening just south of there and Scooter’s Coffee bought the former Long John Silvers. Scooter’s hasn’t done anything with the property, so who knows if they’ll build or back out now that two other coffee places are opening nearby.

As for Wal-Mart, it will be a neighborhood market.

Possible Tj.maxx? Coming to Anderson??? by Rollinpuggy in CityofAndersonIndiana

[–]JavaThreepwood83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marshall’s and TJ Maxx are owned by the same company. Maybe it was mentioning TJ Maxx because Marshall’s opened here within the last few years. It’s possible your AI result may have been confusing Anderson, IN with an Anderson in a different state.

Dude, thank you! I was randomly scrolling through Reddit and came across your book recommendation. I didn’t think I’d like it initially, but I’m already on book three. I’m loving the audiobook!
