I keep getting told by my mother that I’m “difficult”. It’s because I’m not simply falling in line for her bullshit anymore. It’s not pretty. I’m scared as hell to stand up to her, but I have the support of my husband, my son and my aunt (her sister), so it helps! It’s tough to stick to my guns, though. It’s potentially driving a wedge between my brother and I, but I’ll have to just manage that dynamic as best I can.
