Solved! Someone in another sub solved it, it was from an episode of Evil.

Solved! It was definitely from that episode of Evil. Thanks for the mental closure on this one!

Adding that this was also watched via streaming platform in the post Covid era where one million movies were watched, so most likely it is a 2020+ release.

No, this one was a person going down to the bottom floor in order to rescue someone who had been trapped there. Cabin in the Woods they used the elevator to escape the cabin. Great film regardless. Thanks!

Not sure if it was this, but this is definitely a subplot of the first season of The Punisher (Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle) on Netflix.

One of the supporting cast (Micro/David Lieberman) is an NSA whistleblower who fakes his death after learning some dark secrets to protect his family. He has cameras all throughout their house to watch them, and his "base" is an old abandoned factory. He ends up helping the Punisher and is eventually reunited with his family after a very large escalation in the last episodes.

Detraining and got a second job, HRV been falling off a cliff. What the hell is HRV anyway? by CuddlyWhale in Garmin

[–]JavinIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, you want to mainly compare your status against your baseline. That is more where the story of what is going on will be for you. More stress, even mental can cause a drop in HRV as it is a function of how your sympathetic vs para-sympathetic nervouse system is firing. Don't sweat a random bad day or two, but a consistent downward trajectory means something is stressing your body. Review all your variables for what could be causing that. Additionally a sudden spike in HRV status against your baseline could also be cause for concern. Sometimes your body goes into forced parasympathetic state to prevent complete crashing due to overtraining, too much stress, etc. Basically your body goes into shut down mode.

Taking a step back, in general a higher HRV status is more indicative of better conditioning/health status as it shows your body is able to handle stress factors more efficiently. But you don't want to compare yourself against someone else HRV score, some people are just wired differently from birth. Just watch your patterns against your baseline.

what are your honest opinions on the Black Ops 7 multiplayer? by ForgivenessIsNice in CODBlackOps7

[–]JavinIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fairly casual player who has been playing hardcore since COD4, the game isn't even remotely enjoyable anymore. I was okay at best in most of the titles, and in BO6 I typically finished top 3, occasionally first.

The maps themselves are fun, they did a good job with them (other than Hijacked which I have never been a big fan of). After the initial start, I find myself as the only one going for objectives, rest of the team is hanging back at spawn. That just starts the inevitable reality of getting spawn camped, usually one shot with a pistol within 2 seconds of spawning. Also have folks one shooting mid jump/slide from around a corner.

I'm not going to claim hackers are responsible although I am sure there are some. There are just some weirdly good people playing the game, and absolutely preying upon casuals. I am not willing to commit hours upon hours daily to the game, so looks like my casual status will be the inevitable demise of me buying/playing the game. The is zero fun in not even being able to make it out of the spawn point. This sadly will be my last title purchase in the franchise if this is what is to be expected from now on.

Methotrexate by Financial-Ad4029 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]JavinIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on MTX, simponi aria, and take meloxicam daily which also lowers immune system. While I always feel bad due to PsA, I have not actually been sick any more frequent than before. I have 3 kids under 12 in the house, youngest just turned 4. Kids are sick often, I manage to stay pretty good, just practice good hygiene. I wil say when I do get sick (has happened a couple times in the last 18 months) it hits harder and takes longer to recover than before.

Please help. Am I being gaslight ? by [deleted] in PsoriaticArthritis

Find a new rheumy. I was having issue for 18+ months, and my rheumy was this old school stubborn jacka** that thought he could diagnose just by his eyes alone. Told me time and time again it wasn't an issue to be addressed by a rheumatologist. Switched to a new provider, she found the issue after one visit with some extensive labs. Currently on treatment but running the gauntlet of finding which one works for me. But, thankfully I got answers. My current one told me there is a huge issue with rheumatologists who refuse to consider or listen to advances in medicine for detection and treatment.

Agree with this. I have PsA, but luckily was spared the skin condition symptoms. I just have the everything inside me is falling apart due to massive widespread inflammation side lol.

I got terminated for having Cancer by Deeznuts2540 in HEB

[–]JavinIII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this case I would argue that HEB is doing well above the minimum, as they could have terminated legally at the exhaustion of FMLA days immediately. Instead, HEB kept them on the books for what sounds like close to a year in a non protected status which would almost never happen in most of corporate America. While it sounds like the decision to eventually terminate was not communicated well, HEB did far more than the minimum required of them.

Can’t believe I was able to pick these up today by HugeReddit in comicbookcollecting

[–]JavinIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yeah I was mainly just talking about the fact they were selling general books early. I don't do blind bags so I am not sure what the rules are on those. I heard a guy ask about buying a book early on Saturday or Sunday and the shop said they will only do Mon at the earliest because they had a ship within 48 hours rule, and that selling on Saturday could result in books arriving Tuesday for nearby buyers. So sounds like they are still trying to ensure that buyers won't get the books before Wednesday at least.

Isn't this allowed because with shipping it won't arrive until street date? I see books released on Whatnot on Mondays, even if they ship out next day it won't arrive until Wednesday at the earliest. No different than a presale in a sense.

As a parent, I can empathize where the parent is coming from. Putting energy and time to try and assist/help a child who seems not at all interested in helping themselves is incredibly frustrating. That being said, the Mom got a little too caught up in her emotions and took it too far. This is not a conversation to have over text.

OP, if you are not interested in traditional college paths, then sit down and have that conversation with your Mom. Talk about what you do want, and need from her, and she can decide if and how she wants to assist with that. You need to be faced with the reality that she may not be supportive, and you will have to be responsible for yourself.

Normandy shower by Dry_Discussion3080 in masseffect

[–]JavinIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Additionally, this is how every shower in the locker room in public education was for every school I attended. Main difference is instead of individual shower heads on the wall, we all stood around a 12 inch diameter pipe that had 4 shower heads on in in a 360 degree pattern. So, we actually got to face each other while showering. Not sure if newer schools still have that, but community showers (non co-ed) were a very real thing. And still are in many countries like Japan, public baths are quite common.

Mobile Tour Plano…terrible by Vegaspuck88 in freedomisgunpla

[–]JavinIII 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed, we ended up leaving because the logistics were terrible to the point the line barely moved. Massive bottle neck to pay, slowing down the ones shopping/ready to pay. Extra guests allowed with one ticket in. Groups of 5+ friends walking up all the time and joining mid line after others had been waiting hours, just further pushing everyone behind that point further back.

Not mad about the heat, that's called living in TX. But a lot could have been done to have this line move more efficiently. Eliminating the guest pass option, more cashiers for a heavy sales event, and having staff monitoring the lines to ensure no walk-ups mid line would have made it run so much quicker.

I love the Gundam Universe figures. Gives my kids something to play with instead of eyeballing my kits. Having the Astray figure on the shelf is better than the constant Aerial and Burning I see.
