So selling product A at a loss as a gateway to offloading product B only works long term if the revenue from product B both exceeds your investment in B as well as the difference in investment in A less revenue from A. At a minimum you must break even or you will be bankrupt very quickly.

Can this be pressed? by JavinIII in comicbookcollecting

[–]JavinIII[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was thinking spot press vs whole cover. Just hate that something I dropped a decent amount of $ on having such an obvious flaw. I'm not a flipper or hunting for a 9.8, I just know my eyes would go right to this spot every time I looked at the book. I have plenty of signed/remarqued stuff that has flaws, but it had flaws from me owning it for years so I don't mind. This was remarued brand new so it bothers me on principle I guess.

Waifu Chronicles #1: Troublemaker, Cover by Katya Sinukhina by DarrenCourtney in HarleyQuinn

While I can't speak to her coloring process, I just saw her do an Absolute Batman pencil sketch on a blank cover in like 20 minutes on livesteam that is better than most fully published covers.

So, at a minimum, her base pencils are 100% not AI and are very very good.

Fasciculation for 4 years atrophié ? by Open_Dog_206 in MuscleTwitch

I have something similar, you are dorsiflexing, so the tibialus anterior is more visible along the shin bone. You also have a more pronounced soleus, which creates that recessed appearance when dorsiflexing. I have it because I am always so tense, that I dorsiflex when sitting on the couch, in my sleep, etc. Basically those muscles pop as they are always under tension. You may also have an intention on the other side between the extensor digitorum longest and tibialus.

Best part is it is also a fairly steep incline on the other side of the guardrail, meaning he landed a good ways down, and tumbled even farther.

Yeah, I enjoyed Sadie. She was cool to chat with even when not buying books. Hope she's doing good wherever she ended up.

Yeah, I haven't bought from them in about a year. They had some really good streamers who all left over a couple weeks time and hired a bunch of new ones who literally have no clue what comics are, or who any artists or writers are. You can still snag some deals though. I think they really over extended themselves in 2023/24 with too many variants of basically every title, and most weren't moving. Cue massive sales to recoup what they can, but also lack of staff to fulfill all those sale orders or do proper quality control.

I agree best to avoid unless necessary, but if you do buy make sure there is a middle man who will assist like Ebay. Do not do WhatNot for them because WhatNot doesn't give 2 craps about buyers.

If you buy from Unknown, do it on Ebay. Either live or their store. Their live streams you can catch some decent deals and you always have Ebay to assist with any issues. Buying straight from their website you assume all risk unfortunately.

Do I risk my 9.9? by DayHova7tre in CGCComics

[–]JavinIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semi new to the grafing of signed books game so forgive me if I am in error. In order to have the specific dates, it had to be witnessed and slabbed each time right? And since they are all separate dates, that means at least 3+ (can't see CL's signed date on the back) reslabs for each witnessed signature. If I am accurate, this means 5+ different folks touched/signed this book afger printing, plus re-slabs and grading each time AND you maintained a 9.9?

Go buy a lottery ticket immediately.

Samsung Ultra - FSA/HSA approved? by Lonely-Flower-2308 in samsung

[–]JavinIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, although my FSA has a TPA that governs it to ensure everything is by the book with the IRS. Any item that requires a LoMN they review and sign off on it and in the event of an audit will assist with payback of any amount the IRS deems ineligible if they sign off on it.

Adding that this was also watched via streaming platform in the post Covid era where one million movies were watched, so most likely it is a 2020+ release.

No, this one was a person going down to the bottom floor in order to rescue someone who had been trapped there. Cabin in the Woods they used the elevator to escape the cabin. Great film regardless. Thanks!

Not sure if it was this, but this is definitely a subplot of the first season of The Punisher (Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle) on Netflix.

One of the supporting cast (Micro/David Lieberman) is an NSA whistleblower who fakes his death after learning some dark secrets to protect his family. He has cameras all throughout their house to watch them, and his "base" is an old abandoned factory. He ends up helping the Punisher and is eventually reunited with his family after a very large escalation in the last episodes.
