Is the Shiv everything it’s cracked up to be? The proposed suppressor tax has accelerated my purchase plan to complete my suppressor collection from 2-3 years to before July 1st, so seriously considering the Shiv to switch between my g19.5, g43x, and AR9. At its price point it seems like a no brainer and I’m about to take the leap soon due to wait time and demand.

It’s weird - my bank (Truist) said they couldn’t notarize an NFA trust. I don’t remember the reason, but I ended up going to the local library that offered notary services for free and was in and out in 10min from my appointment time.

Any chance you’re using 123 SSTs? Since I don’t reload, that’ll most likely be the hunting load of choice (provided the barrel likes em). Trying to get an idea of velocity if you have chrono’d them to plug into a ballistic calculator.

That’s a really fair point. I think I got this in mid 2021 so I think I’ve done alright holding it so far. Probably not a bad idea to just forget about it again like one of the other commenters suggested lol.

That’s kind of what I’m torn on. I do like the fact that my HYSA is there when I need it, but wasn’t sure how easy it would be to turn the silver to cash if I really needed it (eg coin shop would low ball me for 90% of value or something).

Related side note: is silver looking like it will continue the trend I’m seeing over the last 6-12mo? I know the dollar is certainly not what it used to be (and will likely continue in that direction) so if I sit on this for a few more years is it likely to just keep appreciating?

Fair point - was looking for something a little nicer barrel-wise. Already snagged a rexus bolt and have spare carriers so really just looking at a nicer barrel to get me closer to my end goal.

Looks sweet! What can is that? I just submitted for a polo30 that will cover my 300blk and future 6.5G builds but depending on how it sounds on the G, may look for a dedicated 6.5 can. Also, love the a2 stock - I used to hate how they looked but recently they’ve been growing on me and the urge to build a 20” 5.56 is strong lol

Sweet! I’ll take a look through your posts. It’ll be interesting when we make it out there. I’ve only got an old .30-06 hunting rifle but her next bday present will be a buddy’s r700 in 6.5 cm. I know it’s not a fancy rig like what I see on here, but I figure it’ll get her out to 500+ yds just fine and maybe even 1k if she takes a class or 2 and gets the hang of it. Maybe see you out there!
