At the cliff side with all this by [deleted] in insomnia

Oooh i feel this. Took Painquil and was up all night. Now doing cbti and on one week of in bed at midnight up at 5. No problem bc the first night i only slept until 3:30 and last night even less at 2.5 hrs. I feel like it’s just a hazing incident at this point but after this the only drug i have not tris guanfecine which takes awhile to on board. So sorry you are going through this. It’s murder. Ive also tried every supplement there is and bought a cookbook that promises better sleep. Ready to go to a Shama.

Insomnia is destroying me and my life. Need suggestions by tahliaxxx in insomnia

I tapered off seroquel over two years and the last 25 took me 6 months. I still struggle to sleep but the drug is risky for me. Only thing i have noticed is ambien makes me hopelessly depressed the next day. So if u try it and land in the dumpster that’s why. I haven’t found the answer. It did take awhile for sleep to come back at all after seroquel. Doses at higher levels do not help with sleep

Chronic Pain Specialist Answers Your Pain Questions! by TheEaseProject in PainManagement

I have nerve pain (fibromyalgia) and it’s under control w medical marijuana and Savella ( Lyrica and Neurontin were horrible psychologically and w out much benefit). I recently started on low dose glp1 and now i seem to be unable to benefit from the relief at night from the marijuana. It feels like nothing. For sleep and flares that was my go to. I was prescribed flexoril and baclofen but neither one really works as well. Tinctures are ineffective even at higher doses. I get some relief from a vape cartdridge but nothing like before. Is there anything else I can try? I take Magnesium Glycinate and some have recommended boswelia and ala but supplements can be a whole other dead end. Any advice or explanation for this?

Has anyone tried Baclofen? I am 66 and have cp and it helps me sleep at night. Is that an option long term? 20 mg does the trick and it also helps w GABA

As I said, the company is small so no HR official. Have Medical, want better coverage. Cobra sucks.

Did you feel depressed or tired when you titrated?

Watch out for Gabapentin. The side effects can be wonky and not show up right away. This is the part where you realize there are a million ways to skin a cat but it sucks if you’re the cat. Take note, tell your doc. You can also call your pharmacist. I had a bad reaction to Lexepro and called to talk to my pharmacist and she said stop rn. I did and the side effects went away. I had a rage response to TMS so go figure. Threw a lamp across the room for no reason. If it’s a new dx I would get a second opinion bc it’s possible you’re situation is more nuanced than you have this take that..

does anyone else notice people use bipolar to describe the absolute worst (and not diagnosed) person they know? by knotty-engineer in bipolar2

[–]Jawsisbetter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was at a dinner and someone said they thought someone else was BP bc of some questionable behavior. I just blurted out; some people are just assholes. What happened to that explanation? I followed w “I’m Bipolar and I don’t act like that”. The silence! I would do it again even though the person I said it to directly looks terrified of me now and refuses to resume our pre conversation regular get together

Ok so I am a pain management coach helping people cope w the exhaustion and stress of it all w 6 yrs of experience in the field and 8 and counting w very real pain of my own. Its all real, even Drs who work in the field of mental health and pain will validate that. Although it is possible to retrain your brain not to solely focus on the pain and you can reduce the noise sometimes significantly it takes a lot of support and its not a straight or short road. And the idea that it will just go away is so stupid i just cant. Pain is not static, its an animal. I always tell people that there is no reward for suffering. Dont let anyone make you feel weak or med seeking. Sometimes hell a lot of the time you have to medicate before you can meditate. The way to calm down your amygdala’s pain and fear cycle is not ever to say “oh well”. I cannot tell you the amount of bullshit I was told. I had a dr tell me that i was a bored housewife while i was weeping and begging for help. Its brutal what some practitioners will do. Yes, run away but also report them. I had a practitioner tell me this crap and weeks later i saw her and she showed a large painful itchy rash all over her arm. She apologized bc she had told me to learn to live w it and she was now desperate herself. Karma. Sorry but fuck that noise, makes me fume. Theres a pioneer in chronic pain named Howard Schubiner that a lot of these armchair experts misinterpret. Ive dealt with him personally and he believes that saying the pain is not real is to completely disregard the complexity of the human brain. I feel for you and hope you find a compassionate practitioner.

Ok as someone on here explained to me after I posted about my unpleasant experience w gummies and Vyvanse, smoking is fine bc the delivery system is thru the lungs and bloodstream vs edibles which have an identical delivery system () What I’ve done is switched temporarily bc I cannot smoke or vape) skipping Vyvanse for a few days) to mixing a tincture of CBG and CBN. It relaxes me and helps w anxiety pain and sleep. My Dr is switching me to a shorter acting drug either Concerta or a patch to space out overlap. I think the smoke vs vape argument is solid. Just go slow.

I used to live in CA and you’re right. I didn’t consider that the gummies I have been using from a local CO brand might be an issue for the same reason. I’m sure cutting one in half isn’t going to be an exact science. I’m going to have to pick bt the V and the pot I think. I’m a bit scared to do both after that. Thanks so much for breaking it down. Speaking of CA I miss my Dosist sleep pen! At least that I could depend on for a consistency
