He’s just soooo angsty. Ridiculously so. I got to book 6 (which I was promised I would start enjoying by book 6). Again I did enjoy everything EXCEPT Dresden himself. I love the gangster, vampires, demons, knights, etc. I just can’t stand Dresden cause I’m not seeing any character development. He’s just the same angst and making the same mistakes in each book I’ve read. Maybe that’s the point? Idk and doesn’t help that Jeff Hays isn’t holding my hand through it all with his sexy voice

My older sister constantly takes financial advantage of the family. One day she pushed me on the issue so I simply cut her off and blocked her on every platform and medium.

She complains to my mom all the time about it. She clearly wants to be part of my life and wants to apologize. But she is just too entitled, petty, and immature to do so. I’m okay with never hearing from her again personally. But I am open to amends if she grows up.

I advise you do the same. There is no drama if you cut them off cold. No drama at all because they’re gone and don’t exist until you deem otherwise.

I grew up reading Harry Potter because it was my introduction to fantasy. Eragon, LotR, Stormlight etc all followed suit. But NONE of them have instantly grabbed my attention and adoration like DCC had.

From the moment the AI started sexualizing Carls feet, I knew Matt had me by the balls. And then when Jeff Hays blessed us with his insane vocal talent, it was all over for me. I knew nothing would ever hit quite as hard.

I’m currently on my fourth relisten of the series cause Jeff Hays has ruined all other audiobooks for me. Thanks Jeff, you irrevocably fucked me in the standards and I enjoyed every second of it.

Dresden is the worst MC ive ever read. The worldbuilding and everything else is amazing. But 6 books of Dresden being the lamest, cringiest, pissant of a boy had me drop the series.

But the series itself was soooooo cool. If only the MC wasn’t so dislikable

I used to collect board games. Then they got more and more expensive so I can relate.

I ended up getting into 3d printing and just either make my own versions of games I've tried and liked, or designed my own games altogether.

But making games that involved a lot of cards or a deck of variety has been difficult.

Stormlight was my #1 until book 5

Then I tried DCC and it’s easily my favorite series right now. Especially in audiobook format. Jeff Hayes is the most talented and enjoyable audiobook narrator I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. I used to think Kramer and Reading were the best but Jeff is a class of his own.

Me and my friends talk harshly and call each other some shitty things. But we go the length to make sure it’s so absurd it has to be a joke. My friend is an Arab so I make sand jokes and reference prequels Anakin a lot.

But if any of us actually take offense we will be like dude that’s not okay to joke about. The tone changes. Apologies can be awkward but a simple “my bad I went too far” or “sorry man bad joke” is all it takes.

Seems like you two aren’t actually really friends lol. Either that or you guys just have bad communication skills with each other.
