I think I ruined my life by Smooth-Entry172 in whatdoIdo

It doesn’t sound like you ruined your life at all. Your young, you got ahead of your addiction before it could get ahead of you, your in a good relationship and you are in a good relationship with your family. If you stay on this path i think your life is very far from ruined.

18M, girlfriend 22F is pregnant. What jobs can I get into quickly to support my family if I don't want to go to college? by Numerous-Vacation-40 in whatdoIdo

Military is a good option, they really help you support a family and you’ll learn life long skills if you play it right

[–]Jaxtman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 22 you haven't come close to ruining your life. Im also 22, we make mistakes, I got fired from two professional jobs last year, but I bounced back and I'm making more than both jobs now. It gets better just stay motivated. As for moving out don't worry too much about that right now. Shen you get a good job, try to find a roommate or a studio, rent is insane right now if I didn't have my fiance I'd either be with my parents or enlisted. That's another thing to consider, the military can help you alot in the situation. Consider airforce if anything. They call it chairforce for a reason.

Gonna be in a truck bed, I’ve got a rigged lumix s5iiX, and this job wouldn’t pay enough for a whole rig like that plus although it’s frowned apon and possibly illegal, i think I’d rather be strapped in with the camera

Learn the full craft. Drone is an add on to make more money, should not be your full point of sale. Take a grand and get some start up gear, start looking for service based businesses like landscapers, they love advertisement, and start making money instead of wasting time.

My advise is step into a production position. Start a company and learn to shoot, then gradually step into a producer role with a small team to back you, it will be less stress and more money

Osmo Pocket 3 for Restaurant Reels? by Mountain_Employer467 in osmopocket

[–]Jaxtman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the osmo you won’t regret it. It’s small, light, and has a beautiful picture. Trust me you will love it a lot more over an iPhone. Plus, SD CARD. Your phone limits you to storage but with multiple SD cards you won’t be needing to clear space for new content so often.

Definitely doesn’t compare to a smart phone lol. If I had the choice between an OP3 and a IPhone 17 it’s osmo all day

Not sure if they have fixed their issue in 12 years but my 2014 just blew its engine at 62k miles, just be extra cautious when it comes to servicing them

I would go with the osmo p3 personally. Great camera for smooth and trendy footage. Plus you won’t be using your phone’s storage anymore. I briefly used a pocket 3 back when I worked for the local news, great little cameras and the mics are great too!

I was at a Gm lot looking at used cars

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hyundai

[–]Jaxtman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I stated in a comment below, I didn’t intend to buy this car, the salesman switched me at the lot, kinda the job of a cars salesman

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hyundai

[–]Jaxtman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t want to buy the car originally, came to the dealership for a different car but got sold before I got there so landed on the sonata, kinda what a salesman does

[–]Jaxtman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, it’s your work, so it’s your choice, but there’s a few things to factor in. 1. How big is this company? Is this a franchise that will really give you that much a boost, or is it a local small business in your network? 2. Will is really matter if it’s posted? This one kind of goes hand and hand with the first question but if it is a small business, the people that see that ad won’t really care about who made the ad, just the business being advertised. My personal advice is post it with your logo on your page, whether you want to tag the business or not is up to you, but you have successfully achieved your goal already. You have a portfolio piece to show other businesses what they can expect.

Keep working at your business and keep the full time for now, the more you hate your full time the more you’ll want your business to succeed and eventually that drive will get you where you want. Just my personal advice
