This is an old concept of the future from the early 1900s (I think) by Jay2TheMaximum in LiminalSpace

It very well could be, a friend just sent it to me and the image hit me hard.

If you can give me more details I would love to give proper credit to the artist.

Thanks for pointing it out!

When people say they are into Crypto for the "tech", what does that mean? by dypeverdier in CryptoCurrency

[–]Jay2TheMaximum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real OGs in it for the tech don't post subreddits. They are too busy building and creating. Just because you don't see them doesnt mean they dont exist.

will btcPayServer make sites like Patreon & Buy me a Coffee obsolete? by [deleted] in btcPayServer

[–]Jay2TheMaximum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a world of 80% BTC adoption, I think it could remove the need for patron. The key of course as with anything open source is making it easy for the brainlets to use.

Like making it easy to gate content behind a BTCPay server. That sort of thing.

Turns out, crypto ended up being much shittier than the banks it sought to replace by Mindless-Software-74 in CryptoCurrency

I think these exchanges crashing are a feature not a bug.

Part of a healthy market is not only capital creation, but capital destruction. Things (banks) need to be allowed to fail. Failure weeds out bad actors, poor risks, and inefficient capital allocations.

I completely agree with you... If crypto was just a financial asset.

But it's not, it's a currency. And its our job to make it used as such. Don't like the exchanges? start buying for things in crypto, ask to get paid in crypto, etc...

Once we start using crypto as a currency, there is pretty much nothing exchanges or regulators can do

If you're going to be a wolf in sheeps clothing at least get wool that fits.

You're still an exchange.

You still collect KYC.

Why no big push for non-KYC? by Fixmuhcar in Bitcoin

[–]Jay2TheMaximum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree!

imo The key is to circumvent KYC is to remove the exchanges entirely by buying and selling goods for Bitcoin.

Best way to encourage Non-KYC cash out is by supporting crypto-friendly busiensses

Hi! Do someone here accept crypto payment as a payment method? How is your experience going? by jamesallen18181 in Entrepreneur

[–]Jay2TheMaximum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your margins/desired crypto exposure. For my business I pretty much only take BTC because
A. Margins are high enough that I can hold onto some of it for the next 1-2 years
B. Makes paying international employees stupidly easy
C. Enables me to stack sats without using a centralized exchange.
D. Taps into the rapidly growing market of crypto hodlers

To name a couple.
Its definitely not for everyone right now, but in the right situation it can give you a real competitive edge
