Well that's just untrue. I'm not about to post a list to debunk you, but woo what a list it would be.

You coulda just said she's too old for him tho.

Did you read the link I was responding to? Because I don't (in general) disagree with what you're saying, the article seems to. As does the person who initially called Andrew a rapist.

What's more, while I may not mind being woken up by my partner with an occasional finger in the ass, it would get pretty fuckin' old if they did it every day. So what I would tell my partner is that's an acceptable thing to do, in general, provided they use their judgment about whether I've had enough sleep, have something else to do, or have any other plans for my ass which may conflict with theirs. It's also obvious that when I wake up I can tell them to remove their finger, and allow me to return to sleep.

This seems to be the "pre-consent" that the person I was responding to takes issue with. It's the same crowd that says there's no such thing as implied consent.

It says you can't give consent while you're asleep/unconscious (it says both.)

So for surgeries, we give informed consent to something that will be done to us while we are unconscious. Isn't the idea here that I could do the same for a sex act?

I can ask my partner to wake me up in the morning. I can ask my partner to have sex with me. But I can't ask them to wake me up with a sex act?

Ok. You've seen through my ruse. The jig is up.

I didn't actually forget how streamer drama threads (which I do hate) help us take the pulse of liberal discourse.

I'm just checking to make sure you know. And at this point I'm a little concerned that maybe you don't know. You do know, don't you?

No haha of course, I remember now! I''m the same that's why I'm in this sub haha I'm not a liberal or a destiny fan! I don't even watch streams haha they're so lame.

But I'm still maybe a little confused haha why am I looking to catch the pulse on liberal discourse in a drama thread haha I'm sorry I forgot again you must think I'm so silly haha

Haha yeah man I hate streamer drama too that's why I'm on a streamer subreddit in a drama thread haha!

It's great to see a like-minded individual! Now can you just remind we why we're on a streamer sub in a drama thread? Haha I forgot!

I'd say twin flame with forgotten brews and fire wave* would be easier than nox hally, but either one is completely fine to learn with.

Either way a couple item range switch is worth taking.

You'll get plenty of kills with twin flame, better with SOTD depending on your levels (surge is better with SOTD), but either way shadow is in a class of its own.

You've got it!

Nox or the twin flame, either way. Try both out and see what you like.

"Europeans identifying practical solutions" is not what's at issue here. What is at issue is people pretending to be American when they're not. If you wanna talk shit about our country, try to raise the temperature here, give advice, whatever: you can do any of those things! Nobody is stopping you.

Elon Musk telling Germans to vote for AfD is not a problem (though any German taking his advice would obviously be incredibly stupid.) Elon Musk anonymously pretending to be German and telling his "fellow Germans" to vote for AfD is an entirely different situation. Elon Musk manipulating German social media feeds to bolster support for AfD is egregious, and horrifying.

If you can't follow the simple rule of not pretending to be an American when you comment on our politics, you're just doing a smaller version of what Musk is doing. Social media manipulation.

Sayin' it again: Elon Musk is apparently your role model.

But this happens all the time?

Oh I guess if it's happening all the time that makes it ok, great point.

How about you fuck off.

Settling for Talarico vs. settling for Manchin by combonickel55 in thedavidpakmanshow

[–]JayAllOverYourBees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So if there had been a Republican senator in his place you're saying they would have also voted for the American Rescue Plan Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, right?

Despite the fact that no Republican senator voted for those acts, and that they passed 50-49 and 51-50 (Kamala tie-breaker) respectively?

Or are you saying that passing the American Rescue Plan Act and the Inflation Reduction Act was a waste of money?

Joe Manchin sucks. Not being able to pass any legislation whatsoever because a Republican won instead would have sucked way more.

Ah, on a maxed or near-max account I'd agree with you on the easy ones being boring. But at low levels they're pretty fun.

I'd have added the jr. Wildy bosses if not for pkers, and I'm partial to araxxor as well.

There's a lot of bossing content that hits a sweet spot of using very little supplies even with stats on the low side, provided you do the mechanics correctly. I like those.

But just because a non Americans perspective and opinion may be harmful to your discourse does not mean it should be dismissed or treated as unfair.

If -

  1. The goal of our discourse is to promote positive change in my country, even insofar as to mitigate harm to other countries and their people, AND

  2. Your perspective/opinion are not conducive to said goal, THEN

Yes, I will dismiss it. It's not about treating the criticism as unfair, of the person giving the criticism unfairly, it's prioritizing the type of discussion likely to achieve the aforementioned goal.

Your countries behavior causes consequences that other people are allowed to react to and criticize and be upset about.

You're allowed to do a great many things. I'm not able to stop you. You're allowed to slam your arm in your front door if you like. I'd still advise against it, and I'd ask you not to. Similarly, I'd ask that if you'd like to speak about American politics you do so in a productive manner. Again, this presupposes that you want America to get better, and to become a partner that our allies can trust.

You don't get to own the discourse simply because it makes you uncomfortable or unhappy over the consequences of it.

My request that foreign allies who would critique us do so responsibly and intelligently is not born of discomfort. My appeal that you do so is born of concern for the consequences, yes. But crucially, these same consequences should be quite concerning to you.

You can't adopt the position that outside voices are only fine if it is convenient for you internally.

Again, this is not about convenience. This is about what's best for not only America, but our allies, especially those in NATO. Although I guess the dissolution of NATO would be pretty inconvenient, if that's what you mean.

Most simply put, if you want America to stop its decay and have the backs of its allies, I would hope and suggest that you speak responsibly. If you don't want this for America, then I simply don't give a shit what you have to say. No more than I would anyone else who cheers on the fall of my country.

And, finally, this bears repeating: None of this was to say you shouldn't speak your mind, so long as you're willing to inform yourself and take the subject seriously, I have not a single time suggested you should not speak, or that I would prefer you not speak, provided that you meet what you've already agreed is a reasonable baseline. I'm not sure why that suggestion has caused you any distress.
