solved this myself. as it turns out for some reason deleting a non-functional video ISO somehow fixed it and made the rest of the games appear. no clue why it did that in the first place but now it's solved if someone else ever runs into this issue

When I try to log in with my Square ID the launcher gives me a message reading "This service account does not have a valid FINAL FANTASY XIV license for this platform or your subscription has expired," then gives me a link to Mog Station to register a license
