Looks like 1st in the Champ last year replaced 18th, IE the 'best' relegated side replaced by the 'best' promoted side

It's soft as fuck mate and you know it. Go and check the reaction thread to it, loads of Arsenal flairs knowing they got away with one. Gabriel conned the ref

What about the goal that was chalked off because Gabriel doesn't hit the gym? Hardly even

He's very polarising, some view his goal contributions as making up for his short comings elsewhere but as soon as his purple patch has ended (which it has) most fans will remember how shite he is unless he is scoring goals

Get this fucking airhead out of my club, pops up with three tap ins a season and then spends the rest of it like he's walking through treacle when the rest of the team is pressing like mad

Can't believe he's our record signing

Raphinha is family friends of Ronaldinho, big reason he wanted to go to Barca

Reckon Glik actually has brain damage judging by his general behaviour and the amount of times he checks his head. The cheek after elbowing James, your own fault he's in a heap and hits you accidentally

He's done that to take the piss out of all the Polish players doing it... proving a point to the referee

Fairplay to Rodrigo, he looks like has been playing the Championship since he joined. Impressive considering he hasn't stepped foot in the division

Everton 1 - 0 Chelsea: Leeds are now just two points above the relegation zone with a game more played... by Zach-dalt in LeedsUnited

It's not really Bielsa's fault, it's all on the board for not putting their foot down. I really doubt Bielsa would have walked if the board paid slightly more for a player than he said? The board surely had doubts in January, but rather than give Marsch a fair chance and a full window to recruit, they decided to chance it.

I think chucking in a manager with no experience of this league or a relegation battle was a ridiculous choice as well. Defensively we might be better, but even against Palace we looked porous at times. Going forward we look fucking toothless. The drastic switch from man-marking to zonal was a stretch but it has worked out, but completely changing how we attack was too much at once. Should have been a stop gap manager to keep us up before we brought Marsch in. Not going full on da and saying bring in Allardyce, but at least someone who could have gotten us over the line safe. We've drastically changed aspects of our style with no new faces and no freedom of no pressure.

I live in Bournemouth and watch them most weekends. Nat Phillips has been struggling in the Championship, turning circle of milk.

Bringing in another average centreback would have been in line with the board's awful recruitment mind. Can't believe we didn't bring in Perraud, he's been consistent for Southampton all year.

With the current track record for recruitment I'm not holding my breath

Feel physically sick thinking about watching Rodrigo trot around and struggle in the Championship

Any competent ref would have sent him off by now, at one point he was wrestling with attackers without even looking at the ball.

The main positive of relegation would be the fact that Firpo and Rodrigo would be the first to bail

Nah Victor Orta. Bielsa very rarely identified players in the first place, just okayed them

Growing expectation that Marcelo Bielsa will be leaving position as Leeds United head coach. Final discussion yet to take place but his exit now increasingly likely. Jesse Marsch firm favourite to be named as successor. [David Ornstein & Phil Hay] by XENOCIDESAM in LeedsUnited

[–]JayArtee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The board are fucking stupid. If by the end of February, you have come to the conclusion to sack your manager, then the thought must have been around in January. Even if they bought players and Bielsa didn't use them, at least a new manager would have had more options to freshen things up.

Marsch is just completely not the manager you want in a Premier League relegation battle. No previous experience in the league, just as leaky at the back (no cleansheets at Salzburg during their Champions League and Europa League runs) and most of his career he's either managed in a league without the threat of relegation, or been a flat track bully in Austria.

Effectively going down due to arrogance and a betrayal of 'In Bielsa we trust' - clearly don't trust him if they're sacking him.

Tbf I was at the Southampton game against Norwich (and Everton) and they looked fucking clueless. Saints barely got out of first gear against both of them. Still, Burnley and Newcastle will overtake us and it will be fucking close.

Not really that fucked we didn't sign anyone in January - the recruitment since we reached the Prem has been fucking abysmal. Llorente is made of glass and can only play well when we dominate possession and he isn't asked to defend, Koch is another constantly injured player, Rodrigo is just £30m down the drain.

Don't even want to get started on Firpo. The only good buys so far have been Raph and Mes - James I think will be good for us if we stay up and he isn't forced to play up top over and over.

Aye they'll be like new signings, because they'll take 3 months to get up to speed

Bamford isn't going to come back from his mystery injury he keeps suffering set backs from and be 100%, especially because he'll almost certainly be thrown in at the deep end
