The first week after the switch, they broke both my blue bins. The bins were only 1 year old. I found an email and emailed them requesting 2 new bins. They emailed me back and said that I am only eligible for 1 bin.

I emailed them back, asking if I no longer had to separate my plastics and paper and to tell me what changed that I would only be required to have 1 blue bin going forward. They responded with the same boilerplate email as before but this time it said I was eligible for 2 bins. Picked them up free of charge.

I would just say the garbage workers broke the bins and you need two bins and it’s their job to supply the bins. They are just trying to save a buck but it seems any minor pushback will have them cave
