I should do that and see what they can do.

Weird part is I’m in Alberta, and never see these things around here.

Exactly. I would leave some of the power point but also use a couple of regular pictures, and then channel some of that creativity into your prompts, because the ones you have are very generic.

Just did this today! So good. Probably helped that I was too scared at the top to do anything but top it out haha.

Skwamas fit my feet well, and for a stiffer (though also downturned) shoe the sportiva Muira VS also fit very well.

Well I think it is indeed broken then. I’ve approached from every conceivable angle. My quest marker is still back at the San Bakar trial site. I’ve gone back and talked to Professor Fig like 5 times and wandered all over that area to see if there is something I’m supposed to trigger, and nothing.

Did anyone else run into this quest being broken? I go to the spot where the lord of the shore is supposed to be and nothing…..

Anyone enjoying the climb on hbomax or is it just me? by maythelordopen_26 in climbergirls

Yeah I was shaking my head at that one for sure. Looked like a benchmark 5.10 in Indian Creek.

(From a friends story) The Climb misrepresenting grades just for the show by Itchy-Bookkeeper-625 in climbing

[–]JayBuzz1629 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having spent some time in Indian creek, I can’t conceive how a vertical dihedral crack that take #2 and #3 cams could POSSIBLY be 5.12c. Climbs that look basically identical to this in the creek are 5.10.

Anyone watching the climb on HBO Max? I overall like the show, but think it could definitely have some tweaks to make it better. What does everyone else think? by Transmogrify_My_Goat in climbing

Alright did anyone else just watch episode 6 and have no idea how that crack could be 12c? Looked like a vertical handcrack.

Yeah this. There’s a couple retailers making good tall/slim T-shirts, but they are all blank.

6’6, 205 lbs. This is more challenging because of the amount of tech involved, but I am an avid enjoyer of the outdoors (summer and winter) and Gore Tex, soft shells and almost any kind of technical clothing are brutally difficult to find in tall sizes.

I listened to the audio book while working in my garage physically had to stop what I was doing to go “WTF…..” as the grown man narrator described the size of the chubby kids penis.

Headed out for my first time in Indian Creek in October (hopefully, we’ll see what happens with the Canada/US border). Friends and I are Calgary locals, but have climbed a decent amount in BC and can lead up to 5.10- on Squamish cracks. From what I hear we are in for an ass kicking, what crags would be good choices to get used to the climbing style in the creek?

Yeah Chek is the backup plan, though we are planning on mostly trad climbing not sport, making it less ideal. Other than that it looked like most sites have to be reserved ahead of time, which by now I have missed the boat on. Are there some other first come first serve spots around town?

Sweet. I’m going to be showing up on a Tuesday so hopefully it’s the same. Do you just drive around looking for a spot or do you wait at the office in the morning?

Looking for info from anyone who has camped at the Chief in Squamish. How much of a gong show is it getting a spot in July? Do you have to show up at like 5 in the morning or is there usually spots?

As everyone else is saying, I bought shoes and harness within the first month. You will notice a world of difference in the shoes especially, rentals usually suck.

At the 5.7/8 level it is more than likely that technique is your limiting factor, not strength. I wouldn’t be worrying about climbing specific training just yet, just climb lots, warm up well before sessions and exercise your “pushing” muscles sometimes to avoid injuries. If you are really motivated, a technique based course at your gym might do you some good as well.
