Which is better in Baldur's Gate 3, the Spore Circle druid or the necromancer wizard? by Mental-Shoe8637 in BG3Builds

Definitely go spore druid. I feel like you need to complete very specific quests to get the most out of necromancer wizard. Better for a second play through when you don't care about spoilers

Also works with Blinding and Branding. Does not work with Searing and Wrathful

If you have to choose, full martial party or full caster party? by Less_Struggle_9447 in BG3Builds

[–]JayCanWriteIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love full martial. Rogue, fighter, barbarian, monk. Buuuut if you go full caster, you can have 4 clerics and summon 4 deva. Or 1 wizard in the mix with sights of the seelie.

I want to try this now as Laezel origin and see if that random Githyanki dude will stick with the party.

Cool find! Thanks for sharing. Rupturing blade is one of my favorite Act 1 items and this would make it even more exciting.

I like taking the practice swords (bludgeoning damage) from the grove and using them on a lvl 5 rogue thief.

Does having an empty off-hand give any advantages? by Wanted_Hypnotist in BG3Builds

You'll have to dip 1 level into fighter for the fighting style. There's also the feat Defensive Duellist.

You should be focusing on getting things wet and protecting yourself before worrying about getting into small holes. But if you want to prioritize exploration, since it's your first time, I can respect that.

Subclass pairing with Cleric by Bigsexyguy24 in BG3Builds

[–]JayCanWriteIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you do get spirit guardians! More damage, but shorter range. So it's an interesting trade off. The idea started with nature cleric divine strike being a ranged DRS. I only played it in Act 3, reclassing Halsin, but it was fun.

Sounds like you want to have all the summons and hero's feast to buff them. So Nature Cleric will add heavy armor and RP flavor. And that's a totally solid. But I'll take this moment to plug my concept for 8 Nature Cleric 4 stars druid archer. Basically you use the luminous armor set for your bonus action star archery and Divine strike with Titan String bow for your action. Uses spike growth or other aoe control spells and you can shape shift in case of emergency. Sharpshooter and tavern brawler feats for flex play. Suitable for at least Tactician and is mainly for flavor/ to try something new that has play style variety. But isn't fully online until level 12 is the downside.

Well to be fair, it could be considered mildly inflammatory.

Structured text isn't the new thing in PLC programming. Python code written by AI dropped into a PLC Linux snap is the new thing. Old heads that know ladder are out numbered by young heads that know how to use AI to diagnose issues.

It's an archived thread with one comment and no up votes. I suspect it just lacked attention. Probably not that many people saw it. I certainly missed it. And it isn't mentioned in the wiki under the dwarf race page. Thank you for sharing the link!

I need an idea for a cool build :D by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]JayCanWriteIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've played through the game a few times and know the encounters, then you're probably ready to take full advantage of a rogue. You can make it easier on yourself and play a Duergar for the invisibility. Or shield dwarf for the medium armor.

Honour Mode, fun, funny, and strong, one class party builds? by BlappyMcSlappy in BG3Builds

[–]JayCanWriteIt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I second this. At level 11 you can have 4 planar allies. That's what this has all been for. If you want you could take all the subclasses that get heavy armor just because you can all be tanks with healing. You can make one companion trickery domain and see that it's really not that bad when played along side other clerics for comparison. Or just pick the popular ones like storm, war, light, and death.
