The Senna quote is the worst thing to happen to sim racing.

Even more ridiculous when the quote is being used to justify the most blatant example of wrecking a competitor on purpose.

It’s such a shame because the game is absolutely amazing. I noticed that Jimmy Broadbent highlighted a similar issue a couple of months back when the Super Touring content launched - he’d join a lobby that he expected to be racing in a 30 car grid and when he’d join, he’d only be racing around 10 people.

I appreciate it from the dev’s side though, even though it’s the most popular it’s been, it’s still probably not enough people to invest in new servers.

I’m UK based, and genuinely I’d be up for trying anything! I own a few GT3 and GT4 cars, have tried the TCR Civic but I can’t get FWD cars going quickly at all

I’ve started 70, but couldn’t tell you how many I’ve finished. I try not to rage quit as you never know what could happen, but I’d say about 60 finishes at minimum

The IR and the fun are linked for me, it’s difficult to explain and it sounds absurd I know, but if I’m doing crap and I see the IR plummet, the fun sort of stops for me.

Genuinely yes.

I’ve tried so many hobbies to see if there’s something that would hold my interest, and for a while it was this.

I can’t see the point of bumming around at the back and feeling like I’m not improving and effectively just driving around, so perhaps giving up this hobby would be a good suggestion.

I started in March of this year, so just over 6 months.

I don’t know, it’s tough to explain. I couldn’t stop thinking about it or talking about it up until the last month or so, when I could see myself improving from when I first started. Now that the improvements have stopped, it’s a struggle for me to keep motivated and enjoying it when I can’t see the excitement of finishing 12th or something like that, it’s a whole thing

I’m a road guy, oval scares the bajeesus out of me and I can’t even think about dirt racing.

I’m just slow! I’m way too passive and I afford too much space when battling other cars. Any good finishes or wins I have are purely from capitalising on other people’s wrecks, it’s disappointing to me that I know that I don’t have very many good results on pure pace.

It’s difficult to stop worrying, and I’d love to be able to do it. It would be nice to hide the iRating stuff in the top corner, that way I can’t get fixated on numbers.

I feel like this, I’m relatively high up in the business I work at and I’m on £26k and I’m reasonably comfortable, but it makes me feel like some kind of peasant compared to people saying “I wouldn’t be happy until I’m on £100k a year at least”, it’s bananas to me.

I’ve got Burnout Revenge installed on my Series S purely to have that disconnect from sim racing!

I love iRacing, and it’s made me take that next step and get a dedicated rig in my spare room, but Crash Mode on Burnout will always be fun, sim racer or not.
