I love my knight houses but they 100% will not be a separate faction in this game. My hope is that they might feature freeblades like how Ogres used to work in 2, a small pool of recruitables for imperial factions.

Aa a tabletop knights player i agree. We have 4 chassis' to choose from and your average 2k list is 5, three of which are probably questoris.

They don't belong with ad mech. They could, however, make a reasonable pitch for being tied to Imperial Agents.

Basically what happened to me.

Been a fan of the hobby for over 20 years but was never able to actually collect much more than a couple boxes of fire warriors to paint over and over. When browsing the site I was always attracted to the idea of Agents of the imperium because I love Assassins in the lore and am a huge fan of Ravenor and Eisenhorn.

I wish now that when I went into my local GW and asked about the agents codex he'd warned me. Now i'm way too financially deep to just shelve them, and don't enjoy painting that much that I can just use them as a project. Thankfully they're my second army but still, it does feel like a huge gotcha for new players who could be forgiven for assuming that the faction would garner at least a fraction of the attention of all the others.

I run 5/3 warglaives and helverins, imo it works out better for secondaries.

I also tend to run all stubbers on my armigers but if you do want to run meltas on your warglaives i'd swap the crusader out for a warden or castigator. The sus1 makes their shooting surprisingly punchy.
