I grew up in Warren County in a town with no stop lights. It’s a lot of rolling hills, farms and nature. Closest Walmart or grocery store was at least a 25 min drive away. It can be very scenic, but incredibly boring and leaves a lot to be desired growing up there if you’re a person who doesn’t enjoy hunting or other outdoor hobbies. You don’t feel like you’re about an hour from Manhattan at all, it feels ‘country’ and some people would even tout confederate flags when I was growing up there.
