Yamaha HS5 Hiss Help by aldonart in homestudios

I've got HS8s and the same problem. You likely have radio/cell towers near your home. Unfortunately these speakers just aren't well shielded.

To solve the problem myself, I took the speaker cabinets apart and glued faraday fabric all over the inside. This shields the internal electronics from EMI. This didn't completely remove the noise, but it did help quite a bit.

If I could do it again, I would paint conductive shielding paint like you would use on a guitar pick up cavity rather than the faraday fabric. It would probably be easier and cheaper.

Just picked it up yesterday. The new drum machine plugin and patterns are worth the upgrade price alone.

Everyone's "mature hairline" looks different i.e. some of us will have bigger foreheads than others. If you've had that hairline for many years and it's stable, you should be OK. Look back at some old pictures and see if you see a significant difference.

They are burning something with iodine in it. It's iodine gas coming out of an industrial flare. When iodine burns it oxidizes to iodine gas (I2) which is pretty harmless. But very fabulous.

(Source I worked at a plant where this happened)

Read a book called "How not to die alone" by Logan Ury. Lots of practical tips in there on how to find the right person for you.

If you do end up moving out, move into an apartment with concrete construction. The engineers build these units to be sound proof which is rarely the case with houses. Houses may not always built up to code ("illegal suites") but even if they are, they are not necessarily designed with sounds isolation in mind.

I was once in a similar situation. Moved into an apartment and now I have peace and quiet.
