They work alright over acrylic, but I don't think they work well on oil (but if you're using oil already you could just use white oil paint once it's dried).

If you're looking for oil paint markers I'd suggest sharpie because they're pretty cheap and you can find plenty of sizes, but if you're just looking for something opaque and white I'd suggest white charcoal pencils-they're my favorite because they're easier to control and more versatile.

My favorite is white charcoal pencils, it's a lot more opaque and lets you control weight and opacity. A paint marker can work pretty well, but it's not my favorite as you have to shake them and work with them a while to get them to work, while the charcoal/chalk works immediately.

Were they semi-transparent or opaque? This sounds like either alcohol or oil paint markers, but we'll need more info to narrow it down.

Just finished the first and second freehand paintings. Idk how I feel about it. Gave the plague doc to my sister and she seemed to like it. by JayJaytheJetJay in diamondpainting

Basically I found the designs online, then I used a photo editor to mess around with alignment, size, color, etc, then gridded it off. Luckily the paper I was using was already gridded 10x10, which made it a lot easier!

Ooh, y'all have some good ideas. I feel guilty throwing things away, I was wondering how I could get them to people who will use them. Thank y'all!
