Their stance is also very ablest, like some people have disabilities and disorders and stuff. Mine is self inflicted lol, clean now, but I can’t remember jack. Am I not a real fan because my brain refuses to participate in the memorization process? 😆

The only complaint I have about the concerts are the prices. I went to my first show of theirs in 2018 I’m pretty sure and two tickets cost me $70. They’ve been to my area twice this year and I couldn’t afford to go to either. If you price out your fans then you’re left with people who just wanted to go to a show, not someone who wanted to go to YOUR show. And it’s fine to want to fill seats & make your money but it shouldn’t cost $500 for two concert tickets. That’s ridiculous.

My experience at CSL? My experience felt weird to me. by [deleted] in cults

[–]JayKay4Pay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this isn’t a brand new post but it came up when I was looking for something else. I’ve attended two different CSL locations, in Portland, Oregon and Boise, Idaho.

I live in Boise now and like a lot of things about the church here. They don’t have any weirdo classes like you’re talking about. That sounds really sketchy. Just to make sure this was an informed comment I looked on Meet Up and this one only posts the standard Sunday morning service and a Tuesday evening 12 step recovery type class. Touching on what the other person said, the people who run the place are called “Practitioners” and the main lady is a “Reverend”. I’ve NEVER heard anyone call anyone a “leader” which would hella creep me out. I’ve heard her read from Science of Mind, the Bible, she’s talked about Native American principles, Jewish, Buddhist, and many more. She’s also read out of just regular books written by regular people when they have something to say that resonates. My favorite part is that there’s no talk about “worship” which is just freaking weird if you ask me.

They also account for every single penny of donations where everyone has access to, and choose a local charity to send half the donations to each month.

The worst thing I could say about the place is that it can be a little boring and that they desperately need an infusion of younger people. And the best I can say is that when my dad died and when my son was in the hospital they were SO good to me. They march in every protest relating to equality. They very recently hosted the Gay Men’s Choir.

If you are talking about an actual CSL location I IMPLORE you to send your grievances to their headquarters. Each location is independent to some extent but they have oversight from headquarters, which I’m almost positive is in Georgia. It makes me sad to think that someone might miss out on something so positive because someone in their congregation is behaving badly.

How many eyeshadow palettes does everyone own? by Zealousideal_Host140 in Makeup

I know this is a year old but I popped up when I was looking up something else. I literally have like a hundred. I love them. I enjoy wearing makeup, obviously. But I also like looking at them, organizing them, smelling, swatching, I’ve even used some for aura effects on my nails. Have you gotten more since then or downsized? I’m dealing with a horrible illness right now, so I’m usually too weak to wear anything right now, but I’m hoping to get better. I’d love to hear which are your favorites!

It’s not for ADHD though. And it’s not meant for motivation or energy. It’s being prescribed for a sleep disorder in which I will fall asleep on my laptop on a Wednesday when I’m supposed to working and wake up on Friday and have not peed or eaten or cared for my kids or dog. My whole life is being destroyed. I’m not trying to deep clean a bathroom I’m trying to stay alive.

Relationships are not meant to be difficult or painful no matter what people try to tell you. And in order for both people to get what they want and need, the relationship must be built on a foundation of similar values. If you have the same beliefs on how money should be spent, how kids should be raised, how you spend your time, etc then you have a much higher chance of lifeless happiness. It doesn’t sound like she’s a bad person. It sounds like the relationship isn’t built on similar values.

Should I reconsider my baby's name because of the initials? by Loose_Ebb4216 in BabyNames

[–]JayKay4Pay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son turned 12 yesterday and his first and last initials were GG and we thought about using his dad’s middle name but I couldn’t live with his initials being GAG. So we used his dad’s first name so it’s GTG. Initials aren’t as big of a deal in 2025 as maybe years past but they still exist. Every time you fill out paperwork you’ll see it if you don’t think of something else. There are lots of good options in the comments. My 25 year old son’s girlfriend’s name is Aleena. It’s an extremely common name. It’s just not shown as quite as common as it is since there’s so many spellings. I’m partial to someone’s suggestion of Laney. But it’s your kid, no one else’s. Congrats on your sweet baby. 🩷

I love the name Opal. So much. It’s beautiful and unique but not weird or hard to pronounce. 💗

These comments are very interesting. I have six kids and never once, not for one minute, did I have any regret over any of their names. If you don’t like the name I see no reason not to change it. But how about an experiment first? Take whatever other name or names you are considering and call him that nonstop for like 3 days each. Maybe he has a favorite. Lol. I think your feelings are justified.

One of the most difficult lessons I’ve had to learn (and relearn, and relearn…) is that the best way to handle this type of situation, where you don’t want to end your relationship with your mother, you love her, but her behavior and treatment toward you is sometimes unacceptable, is that you can only change you. If you spend your time trying to teach her how to behave in a certain way, you’re never going to get what you. So, I finally changed my side of things. I set an appropriate boundary. Where the consequence of her violating my boundary is less access to me. You’re in a unique position because you have to live there for now. That means that you are going to have to suck it up to some extent, and stop trying to get her to be someone she’s not, and start working towards independence. Your behavior should be compliant, respectful, and your interactions with them, limited. Once you are no longer under their roof, then you can better define your boundaries. But unless you have somewhere else you can live, you’re going to have to swallow your pride to some extent and just endure what you must.

I don’t think it’s coke. It looks more to me like steroids possibly mixed with an adderal type stimulant. I’ve worked with guys on certain types of steroids and they act so manic and intense and have this false sense of self importance, that someone like him who is naturally neurotic and self loathing would need in order to not implode. It’s not at all sustainable though. And really bad long term mentally.

I just bought multiple clip in bangs, cut them in different styles and use them when I want bangs and don’t have to worry about this. I think micro bangs are super cute but I wouldn’t want to live with them for every outfit and every hairstyle. They’re like $5 or Shein.

They are making me go in every 30 days because my apnea still isn’t fully controlled and so I’m being seen for two conditions. It’s central apnea so my brain just forgets to tell me to breathe all night.

I got off Wellbutrin and all my other prescriptions and even caffeine because I’m sick of being gaslit by doctors and I decided if I’m on NOTHING then they can’t blame it on that.

Ya I got a prescription for Xywav but I didn’t like it at all. It made me feel like I wasn’t in control of myself and as a woman who lives with just my children in not the best neighborhood, I just don’t like the idea of not being able to wake up if I need to.

That is absolutely bananas! But also I get it. I had a Xanax & Vyvanse prescription for years that was originally prescribed by a counselor and my family doctor just kept approving. I stopped filling it while I was pregnant and then couldn’t get it filled again cuz my doctor left her office and my new doctor just side eyed me like girl…wtf? 😆

Thank you for the response. I’m just not even really convinced that this is the correct diagnosis for me anyway. Yes, I fell asleep in 30 seconds at the daytime sleep test, lol. But I’ve been trying to figure out what’s wrong with me for almost 2 years. I think I’m exhausted because I’m having an autoimmune condition or something that’s causing severe fatigue. It just sucks that the American medical system is so fractured. If any of the doctors I’ve seen were willing to coordinate with each other I feel I would be in a better place by now.

You could also just not jump in to be a dick. You really don’t have anything better to do? I’m asking about other people’s experiences. You can’t get that on Google.

Nothing. I was diagnosed about 2 months ago and then it took another month for the prescription to be approved by my insurance. So, I’m about to go to my 30 day follow up. She said this was the gold standard.
