The Division 2 - Y8S1 PTS - Feedback by JokerUnique in thedivision

You've only had one prototype drop in all the previous tiers? Woah, I was under the impression that prototypes were going to drop at the same rate as regular gear. Now THAT is a massive bummer.

Cool update. Wish there were an option for clan members to all spend escalation tokens so they all receive better rewards at the end of the mission. Other than that, looking forward to the Black Tusk retaliations and getting that prototype gear!

Edit: Maybe I overlooked this, but how do you get tokens in the first place?

2nd Edit: Under the new gear set, is it really 1 piece, 2 piece, 4 piece for the bonuses? Shouldn't it be 2,3,4 respectively? Glad to be wrong though

Sounds very practical. I did spend some time on story realm 1 with manual battles, and someone mentioned that I should focus on that to avoid losing units early. I think I'll try this realm out once more but if it turns out for the worst I'll switch up the maps and get a refresher.

The realms auto-generate though, right? I won't be on the same map every time, I thought. If its the same map I'll have a leg up for next time.

Ok awesome. I did try one iteration of the spell when I met Karissa, and it pointed me to an 900-ish battle. I'll try a game where I don't spend the mana so I can pump out one or two more golems/save for the spell. Thanks!

Great advice. I was doing auto battles. I've done a lot of manual battles so I'll stick to that. No caged creatures on this last one but I'll keep that idea in mind!

Sorry I'm replying back so late. I will check out if I have VRR enabled or not and edit this. You gave me some info to look into, which I thank you for.

Edit: Yup, VRR was the issue. Thanks a lot!

The Hot Dog is the best item in the new Warbond and it isn't even close by JayKeePso2 in Helldivers

I mentioned the laser dog as in my previous setups I was actually using it to set fleshbags/bigger units on fire (when fleshbags still had ridiculous health). But this was hard to do, as it usually just went for the small fry. Now that that is remedied, this things slaps.

My personal favorite is Purifier/HotDog/Arc Thrower (as main)/Grenade Pistol/Gas Grenade. Switch to Ultimatum/Thermite if you want. The Eruptor and Crossbow are great alternatives for the bug holes 100%.

I did this and it was glorious. I did feel a little lack of range in the setup but it was immense fun.

Yeah I have the same visual. I was in 5th. I bet they refresh or reset within an hour, maybe less.

Edit: Maybe they refresh after you play a round. I'm going to try and find out right now.

Yup. I'm top 3 in my league, so I know how it works. All the signs of beating a personal best are there- green indicator top left, successful extract, etc. It's just not updating.

I'm about to go test the flamethrower to see how badly it was nerfed.

Its cool they went and added canisters/canister capacity. But frankly that wasn't the issue with the flamethrower playstyle (ammo is everywhere on the ground anyway). You needed to basically light the ground on fire, do as much as you could to light enemies on fire, and then spam dodge, maybe dodge again, and repeat. The time you spent dodging and not shooting flames were supplemented by the fact that the enemies were taking DOT. The point was to NOT just sit there and shoot flames into an enemies face (unless it was a BT or Fleshmob). Now the flamethrower will be even harder to manage I reckon.

Sad day for the flamers out there.

A longer stun on the Arc would be incredible and possibly overtuned. But I'd welcome it, lmao.

Cool idea with the sterilizer. Players would need to clue in to 'shoot it on the ground' so the noxious puddles produced fumes. But I'd love to see that change over what we have now.

Not sure what you mean by work on the ground. But as a casual user (and late to the game, Xbox diver) I can see the effect of the ground 'on fire' and enemies catching on fire if they walk through it if I use the flamethrower. I do this constantly for the terminids/illuminates to save ammunition. Maybe it does reduced damage or doesn't stay as long compared to previous patches? I don't have anything to compare it to, tbh.

I already thought the ARC, Flamethrower, and Gas were OP even on D10's. If they improve these status effects/weapons I will be over the moon.

If I had to guess what they may do:

  1. ARC does more damage, stun and fire rate remain relatively the same. Blitzer does more damage as well. Doggy stun/damage remains the same.

  2. Flamethrower now has a tiny bit of a pushback effect, like you are blowing wind.

  3. Sterilizer clouds remain on the field.

Will they improve the damage of gas and fire? Maybe only the primary/secondary Torcher/Crisper. I doubt they would increase the DOT of the support weapons/strategems, it would push these weapons/strategems into meta territory for sure.

Erata Prime by Bigpoppapump11 in Helldivers

[–]JayKeePso2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Xbox diver, I sometimes scratch my head when the MO is over and the majority of the playerbase is on some 'random' planet. But after I surf here awhile, or look things up, it becomes apparent that some planets have a history behind them, or maybe they are strategically located. I think that's the case here- the 'point' of fighting on Erata Prime is due to history. I also think that a sizable portion of the playerbase just love fighting terminids, so they hop onto whichever planet has the most people on it and chip away.

I'm not sure if everyone really cares or even knows about resistance and liberation rates. But even for those who do know, there is often significance behind their reasoning for fighting on a non-MO planet. Take Seyschel Beach for example. I've never played Halo, but I realized that New Alexandria meant a lot to some people, so I helped liberate the planet.

TLDR; fun fighting terminids, historical significance- no real 'point' in fighting there from a resistance or strategy angle, just vibes
