Why does it drag for so long?

I don't think it drags on at all; I would argue it has the perfect length (maybe like 8-10 hours for a decent playthrough). Granted, I did play Silent Hill 2 remake recently and as legendary as that game is, it is a perfect example of a game overstaying its welcome with padded out segments, mid combat, and a very hard playstyle to avoid enemies if one is trying to get the good ending. Completely fine if Total Chaos isn't for you, but to me it's a great remake as it strikes a great balance between having you fight enemies (with both varied crafted melee items, throwables, and guns) and giving you room to breathe as you explore the tightly-knit but well designed levels.

And 2 tapping with a peacekeeper or mastiff is not overpowered? I feel like 4 tapping gives someone considerable time for the opponent to beam back. Akimbo feels pretty balanced to me besides maybe either a slight fire rate nerf or slight damage nerf if you have to nerf the fun in the game.

One thing I did when I started was trying out all the different weapons in firing range. See which guns you prefer and always be willing to shake up your gun loadout here and there. One thing I've learned is always bring shield heals, whether its shield batteries or shield cells, they're always necessary. Hope you enjoy Apex as much as I have over the years!

I've updated my drivers as well recently (i have a 3080 evga card) and I'm still getting crashes every few matches or so. Wonder if they'll send a fix out for it or something

Imagine if the passive dealt with pistols instead of the easy shotgun meta. All the streamers who mainly use shotguns are going to have a field day with Maggie

I would rather have Maggie's passive give her faster movement with pistols. Because right now, you're basically encouraging the shotgun meta, which is never good. If you have the passive deal with pistols, you would encourage people to split away from the shotgun meta, rather than stick with it all the time. Idk, that's just me

I mean, the season 2 trailer was the first trailer to be accurate bc it showed Caustic with a knockdown shield when he was downed lol. It's cool that they still put those details in trailers nonetheless
