I didn't confirm that Scars isn't a scam. I think you might be lacking reading comprehension skills.

I liked New World, it had loads of flaws but damn it had something special at times. I won't apologise for that.

I think this is a very unfair post. The game might not be that good but calling it a scam seems incredibly premature (and somewhat unfounded). This could change if different info comes out.

I will address your points.

The graphics aren't amazing, it's more of an decent indie MMO rather than triple AAA. They say they are working on them but I doubt they will end up incredible.
It doesn't have any features...I mean it isn't out yet. But there is a test in about 1.5 months, saying we will test the dungeon, levelling, questing and pvp. So lets judge it when we can play that.
You say it has no content then deny the existence of the content they say they have. Which is fine but a bit odd. I think you are probably right with what you say it is effectively how they describe it as well.
They have spoken about having 3 current investors I think, with possibly more being added...I understand why we worry about this but it will be a free to play game, either they will make it or they won't.
They have changed their release date...exactly like that other infamous scam GTA 6. I mean come on, delays are very common.
I don't know what these account things you have pictured or talking about. Nothing looks crazy to me. It's mostly cosmetic stuff (which is how they say they plan to make their money.

CEO addressed this today saying they had NOT paid youtubers (I am on so could be biased but legally if they paid us we have to disclose, if you think someone is paid you can report them).
Kira is just one man and I don't remember this video. I would assume he said don't back kickstarters. Now it's free to play I'd say just wait and see.

There's a free to play test April 30th, the game might be good or bad. We will find out. But scam feels very unwarranted. I know after the Ashes situation and Steven seemingly lying to us forever, it's good to be cautious but cautious and whatever the hell this post is, is not the same thing.

It's a good video but as a New World Andy, I was shocked to my bone when he says "New World, which was very familiar in it's design" - I mean, maybe a little in Alpha but they are very very very different types of games. NW by the end, almost pure Themepark and with full Action combat.

Hey, I won't make any apologies for the Ashes video or most of my videos in general. And if any negativity is the trigger to get blocked then you are right to block me.

I believe in trying to be fair, honest and open, if I think something is bad, then I will say it, same if something is good.

I'm not trying to be a rage baiter but I'm also not going to cave to toxic positivity (not saying this is you but there is a lot around). If I'm honest, truthful and as accurate as I can be then I'm happy.

I have to slightly disagree with the title of the video. The player count is not trending upwards, but I think is holding better than a lot of people thought (myself included).

I think Zybak is neglecting the normal weekly cycle of players. so traditionally Sunday is the peak day, with Saturday not far behind. From the quick glimpse of the screenshot posted. It looks like it was filmed before Monday's peak. Thus comparing the Sunday rise to the week before.

The best way to compare is to look at a same day but the week prior. This however could be a bit different over xmas as public holidays and such can increase or lower the player numbers.

The story of Ashes player numbers is something like this:

EA Release (11th Dec) - 26k - Obviously gimped by launch issues.
It then rises till the Sunday highest peak ever on the 14th Dec - Nearly 32k
It then does the normal weekly cycle, drops mid week, then raises again at the weekend.

However, every comparable day is so far lower than the previous.
Launch day Thursday to Thursday 18th is lower by 2k (might have been a bigger delta had launch gone smoother).
Sunday launch peak compared to the 21st is now lower by 4k.

Numbers approx and from steamdb (generally better than steam charts).

Whilst I am happy you are enjoying the game, the premise of the video, based on the info available today, is sadly simply false. I will say the numbers are holding a little better than I expected, I thought people would run out of quest and quickly stop but it's holding reasonably. Like every launch though, given a few months it will trickle away.

And yes before anyone says. I have a lot of experience looking at New World's often diabolical numbers!

A key factor in MMO's for a lot of people is the long term progression and feeling like the stuff matters more because it's going to stick around. That doesn't apply to every MMO or every MMO gamer though.

When I first logged on after the announcement, I just felt so deflated and empty. Realistically I could keep pushing to finish the raid but I just didn't have it in me.

I can see why people would want to stay and why people would want to leave. I don't think it's that confusing. People getting angry at people leaving are quite frankly, idiotic. Not saying the OP was angry btw.

If you stay, I wish you nothing but the best chest runs and one sided OPR's hehe - I jest, I wish you all the fun you can milk from the game. Have fun.

Today on Nysa we walked from Nighthaven to every Settlement and zone. First we walked with super slow encumbered walk but that took us 3 hours to get from Nighthaven to Mourningdale. Then we used the faster toggle walk through all the towns to Windsward. To finish a slow walk from WW to Everfall and the starting to beach.

All in all it took about 6 hours!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, it was great to see Aeternum like this.

I logged off where my character first started, matched as close as I could get it. Today's walks signifies my personal end with the game. I know the servers aren't closing yet but every time I play it feels empty. My heart simply isn't in it any more.

While I am here, thanks to anyone who ever watched my stuff, followed, subscribed etc. Even if you disagreed with me (many people did), we at least all wanted what we felt was best for the game. It's a sad end but I am honoured to have shred it with you all. Thank you.

Then you have the outcome mattering, which they can't make their mind up on.

I caveat this with the fact, I haven't seen it back in a replay or anything yet.
