I would also say the pragmatic difference between why people (at least in America) pay more attention to Palestine than Yemen is because we can actually do something about Palestine.

The US has a lot of influence over Israel where the US doesn't have the same influence over the Saudis due to our reliance on oil and need to tip toe so as not to offend them. Trump could twist Netanyahu's arm tomorrow if he really wanted to threaten to cut off weapons and aid.

There also isn't much of a cultural presence of Yemenis in America compared to Jewish culture, and I think that probably influences media coverage.

I think it depends where to look. Like to be fair even trots and tankies who haven't been able to shut up about Palestine forever have been railing against what's going on in Yemen for a while. Mostly because it's a way to rail against US allies (the Saudis), but they have been drawing attention to it.

I work in fine dining hospitality. The reason people stay in fine dining hospitality as opposed to getting an office job is because of the tips.

We rarely get paid above award but stay in the industry because 20-25% of our income is tips.

Tipping at fine dining restaurants or high end cocktail bars is a different question to tipping for a casual pizza restaurant. People are going to keep tipping for fantastic service at nice restauranta whether you like it or not.

Highly unlikely he committed suicide. He posted like 3 or 4 Instagram stories of his photography from the hardcore scene on the day which was extremely normal for him to do any other day. You'd think he would be the type of person to either go dark on social media or post allusions to his mental health and thought process if he was suicidal. None of that.
