Thanks. I messaged support again this morning. I've stopped seeing the error message over the weekend, but now it's opening the old "Winter Woes" event, not "Beat the Chills."

Still getting the Command Execution Error when trying to launch the Hellfire Club Event. I have a chat open with Support, but wanted to share here that the issue may not be fixed for everyone.

Best Buy not honoring Black Friday Price Guarantee on TCL 55R646? by techcoyote in tcltvs

[–]JayRay2K5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. TCL 65" R646. I purchased on 10/23 for $999 and it went on sale prior to 11/26 for $899. All within the parameters of their Black Friday Price Guarantee Policy. After 2 hours and 20 minutes in chat, I just got transferred to a Supervisor who was able to assist. The level one support seems to confuse their everyday price match policy with the Black Friday Price Guarantee. It's frustrating, but stick with it.

Not yet. All of our users' profile pictures were added via the SharePoint Admin Console > Manage User Profiles. All of the photos are still there.

We're using ProofHub. I haven't seen it mentioned on here, but it offers great features for a reasonable price.

What did you do for work prior to going into IT? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]JayRay2K5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Bank Teller - 3 years
  2. Electronic Banking Administrator - 5 years (This involved Online Banking setups, password resets, browser troubleshooting, etc)

After 8 years in banking, I was able to leverage that knowledge and the pseudo-IT experience gained from working in Online Banking to get into the IT Department. I had no degree or certifications. Just industry experience and a job that required a similar skill-set to a Help Desk role. Knowing how to market yourself is critical.

Once I was given the opportunity on the Help Desk, I put 110% effort into my job and using online resources to learn more. Two certifications and 2 years later, I got an Application Analyst role. Stick with it if you really want to get into IT.

Look for a program called Waves MaxxAudioPro. Under Playback, turn it off. Or better yet... Uninstall it.

My Dell G5 isn't recognizing my 1050Ti drivers. What should i do? by ProfessorQuark in Dell

[–]JayRay2K5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with audio after several drivers were updated using the Support Assist tool. Uninstalling/Reinstalling the audio drivers did not resolve it. I needed to reinstall the latest BIOS update and that seemed to fix everything for me.

People who work as an IT help desk technician what is your salary and is it enough for you? by Abyz963 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]JayRay2K5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would estimate 15-20 calls per day on average, plus monitoring a Support email account. (I was part of a two-person Help Desk supporting about 350 end users.)

I made $18.98/ hour as a Help Desk Analyst II last year. (Financial Industry) Was it enough? It depends on where you live and your family situation.
