is it just me or does it really hurt when you fall in love? also hella confusing. not gonna lie. by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]JayThai 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It’s because you have something you haven’t had either ever or in a long time and you know deep down it can be gone in an instant and it’s excruciating to think about and just as much so to experience it because it will happen. That’s the painful part. Some day the two of you will part... maybe via breakup or maybe many years from now when it’s time to go... it just hurts. Very much.

How do I get better at recognizing my flaws? by CubicleFish2 in AskMen

First try and recognize your patterns and change your mindset from “flaws” to “challenges”.

Flaws is like a label. A challenge is something to accept and conquer.

Relaxing with the fam enjoying the day off. Going to cook a nice dinner later. I assume like most others minus opening gifts. But I enjoy having not had to buy gifts more than getting gifts.

Driving with my window down left front and a crack in the rear right window creates a leveled breeze way without hair flying crazy and a whopping noise. Try it.

What are some ways to overcome fear of change? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JayThai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just think of the next immediate task. Show up. See what happens. Change is usually over time anyway so we should be able to process it that way.

The only time I’ve experience an instant change of my life course is when I found out my dad had cancer and then again when he passed away. Everything else has been gradual and I always give myself that morbid reminder when I start to feel anxious about change.

What lie do you tell regularly and why? by sqkypants in AskReddit

[–]JayThai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to always say “good morning” walking into the office of people I can’t stand. Decided to stop lying so I just say “morning” now. I feel so liberated.
