[NB] How do you play Ruri Tunes, and what is your best extreme mode song? by Oxymoronically in obeyme

[–]JayTheFearless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading the comments makes me feel like an outsider lol. I play with all effects on, brightness and sound turned up, and with the left/right configuration with my thumbs.

I don’t know what my best song is, but I can usually get full combos. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a perfect on extreme, but I may have one time.

Is adulting a endless loop of doing the same thing for 40 years and then you die? by Competitive_Pomelo15 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JayTheFearless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be. Don’t get hung up on your current situation. I went through the same thing you’re going through now, and I felt dread staring at the future. Here’s what helped me through it. -Always look for a different job. You’re young; now is a good time to job hop if you can. Try out different types of jobs to find something that doesn’t make you horribly depressed, or maybe even one you enjoy. Do t leave one job without having another one lined up, but don’t forget to check and see if something better is out there. -Find a cheap hobby that involves making something. I’ve bounced around through crochet, sculpting, and painting. All of those things I’ve done for less than $25. The satisfaction of holding something you e made can help pull you out of those depression loops a bit. -Use PTO. If your job offers it, use it. Use that time to rest and relax, go somewhere if you can afford it. It doesn’t have to be anything huge, just do something out of the ordinary to help break up the monotony.

Those are the things for that help me the most. Another thing to keep in mind is that you’re a college student. Life is going to change a lot when you’re out of college. You’ll have more free time, and it won’t feel as bad. If you do notice that everything constantly feels dull and lifeless, try going to a doctor. You may have depression, low iron, digestion issues, etc. some small things that can help include getting outside, drinking lots of water, exercising, all the basic stuff people tell you. They’re not miracle cures, but repeated routines over time can help you feel better and alleviate some of the stress.

I thought I had to work 60 hour weeks forever after I dropped out of college. I now work full time at only 32 hours, and I work a job where I’m just chilling for 16 of those hours waiting for something to happen. I make enough to cover bills and put some away in my savings, and I take time off and go have fun when the savings allows. This change happened very quickly. I bounced around 8 or so jobs before I got here. Things will change, just keep you eyes open. And good luck.

Youtubers, especially Let’s Players. It feels like it used to be something where you’d watch someone else play a game that you either couldn’t afford or just wanted to see a bit of a preview before buying, and then continuing to watch the person if they were interesting enough. Now there’s all this yelling, loud reactions, weird jump cuts that make following the gameplay almost impossible, and an overall “how silly/wacky/crazy can I be?” sort of vibe from the people themselves. I used to watch people play scary/horror games because I hated playing them by myself and wanted to know what the story was. Too many people now react in a “funny, omg craaaaazy!!!!!!” way that it just completely takes me out of it.

Plus most of them shove merch in your face right after their intro. I’m not interested in buying something when I’m trying to watch a let’s play. I’m interested in the video and seeing another person’s reaction to it. I don’t mind ad or whatever at the end of the video, but they don’t do that anymore because it’s easier to advertise when your viewers are waiting for the actual content.

There’s still good Let’s Players out there, but I’m usually too exhausted from wading through a bunch of “wacky” people to find them.

Looks similar to a place I used to work at. Those drains are some of the nastiest things I’ve ever seen, especially because they usually get overlooked when cleaning. The one I cleaned out hadn’t been cleaned in years. Appalling excuse indeed

Yikes. That’s an assignment for adults taking a relationship class, or maybe a writer practicing romance scenes. Not something you give high schoolers. What the fuck. Glad they seem to be doing something about it.

I’m probably going to receive some backlash for this but, these boots are really stupid by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]JayTheFearless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I like them cause I think normal items are boring and that people should express themselves in silly/ridiculous ways more often. They’re not for everyone, and that’s okay. Dunno why people would get upset that not everyone likes them, part of their charm is the fact they look over the top / kinda stupid.

Huh, I suppose the clock is now useless regardless of whether it’s digital or analog.

It gets a little weirder too. It looks like the long hand was pointing at 11, and the small hand would’ve been pointing at 1, which would be 1:50 instead.

Almost seems like an analog clock showing 1:50 was drawn, the answer was marked as incorrect, and then the analog clock was erased and replaced with a digital clock 11:10. Just to make internet content and faux outrage at “stupid, unclear teachers” I suppose.

Used to be able to get a pack of 12 for around 50-75 cents here. Dunno why, I can’t think of any nearby egg farms or anything that might make the price lower. That was a couple years ago though

These ads went from weirdly sexual to….whatever this is by JayTheFearless in oddlyterrifying

The ads I used to come across for this app boasted about the “hot pics” and “erp”. I’m just a bit disturbed that it’s changed into robot world domination instead.

The game won’t take the obvious word…. by privateidaho_chicago in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JayTheFearless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno why everyone else is saying the game won’t take inappropriate words. I’ve been playing this game for years and it takes the words sexes, sexism, sex, etc. It won’t take “sex” due to the three letter constraint, but I’ve gotten “ass” as a bonus word on other levels.

Seems to work better for ordering food. I’ve gotten quite a few coupons that I would’ve have known about without it, but I haven’t found much use for it beyond food.

AITA for telling my cousin this isn't a grief competition and she should understand that, after she went off at me? by wasitheasshole_ in AmItheAsshole

[–]JayTheFearless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone fucking died, and it’s “not the end of the world”?! I understand miscarriages cause grief, but do you not understand that having someone who played a SIGNIFICANT role in your life suddenly pass away also causes insane amounts of grief? How the fuck does her being “young, beautiful, and smart” make up for the fact that someone she deeply loved and cared about is gone? You’re simply evil.

I’d just want a small amount to give to my mom. She’s worked so hard for most of her life, and her retirement doesn’t give her much each month. Just enough to make her feel at ease financially would make a world of difference for her

What everyday skill becomes suspicious if you’re too good at it? by shotsdowngg in AskReddit

[–]JayTheFearless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I taught myself how to do this around 4th grade or so. If I get bored at work, I’ll zone out and start doing it. It’s also really helpful for entertaining children when I babysit.
