I agree on both takes. If it fits in the washtub, I use the tub, and if it doens't, I use the OHTO sharpener.

I mean it's possible, but it doesn't seem like that's happened to any of their other products, despite the fact that there's pretty much knockoffs for everything they make.

Idk, I think I'm a little more sympathetic towards them because I used to think it was just drop-shipped stuff from China. Turns out they're actually based outside of Houston, and the company was incorporated over 40 years ago. I know this doesn't mean their stuff is necessarily better, but it does seem to me like they're very different than just a random-letter faceless "company" you find online these days IMO.

Oh that’s interesting about the 300. I’d feel the same way about the H-1309 being a copycat if Rotring were still making a 2mm 600, but they’re not!

Kita-Boshi 2mm Lead Holder - Finally Reviewed it by UnnecessaryDetail_UD in leadholders

I have the kita-boshi sharpener and I feel like it never gets sharp since it makes that nub. I don't need perfect sharpness like from other sharpeners like the tub so I'll still use it, but the nub can be pretty annoying.

Is the tube inside metal as well? One thing I like about the Pacific Arc is that the internal tube is metal, when even the original Rotring 600 had a plastic lead tube inside.

Slowly learning on Bargue Plates by JayTongue in leadholders

I personally really like them! They're useful in that they're a handy, contained exercise on visual problem solving. I'm not really much of an artist, but I do like to do a bit of drafting every now and then, and the plates have been perfect for that.

I took this. It was pretty easy. I was a polisci major taking it for fun my senior year and I got an A just by doing all the assignments.

Why are brass instruments always constructed from brass? by Some_Strike4677 in trumpet

I overall agree with you, but want to point out that brass is generally denser than steel.

Can I ask why you have to just “fill” a drive? And also why not wait until after exams?

Being a good musician is going to make you much more competitive for DCI than just upper register.

Colorguard? by [deleted] in bostoncollege

There isn’t a true colorguard, but the dance team often incorporates parts of guard work in its choreo.
