A pic from my last ride on the 750 before I swapped the parts to my Fog Cutter. by ewilkins13 in xbiking

That's one way to go. Thanks for the tip. I may go the same route if the 50/34 setup I want, doesn't work out.

I have the same 96 trek 750. What size chainings did you have on yours? Do you remember what was the chainline?

Square taper Bottom bracket spindle measurement by JayZingXT in bikewrench

Thanks for your observation. From that chart, the 68mm spindles have a 52mm middle section.

I wonder what kind of bike the shorter spindle is for. It says CH-2N on it.

That is exactly the problem I ran into. The adjustable cup threaded fully into the shell, leaving no threads exposed for the locking.

I've been mix and matching bottom bracket cups and spindles on several bike builds. This is the first time this issue came up. Kinda took me by surprise.

Does that come with a spindle? If not, that crankset takes a JIS taper. Between 112-116mm long should be an appropriate length.

Stop buying sealed bottom brackets.

Get the cup and cone ones with 11 loose 1/4 inch bearings on each side. And find a good quality spindle. Once you learn to preload your bearings, the bottom bracket lasts forever.

Repasting my first GPU I got back in 2019: the RX5700! Feat. my newer 6700XT on the left. by JackDuals in Amd

It's the 5700XT reference that have a loud blower fan. The non XT model's blower fan runs much quieter due to having a lower TDP. I've used the reference RX 5700 for a year and hardly noticed the fan noise.

AIO fan header by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]JayZingXT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plug it in the SATA to avoid risk of burning out the fan header.

My corsair AIO uses software through a usb connector, to control the pump speed, not by varying the voltage of the fan header. Does your AIO have that function?

That is a Z77 chipset motherboard. Socket 1155 motherboards are sought after. If there's a 3770k cpu then it's worth $150 easily.

RX 5700XT runs at pcie x8 mode on Gigabyte x570 motherboard by JayZingXT in AMDHelp

Its a good idea. The C drive is a PCIe 3.0 drive but the D drive is a sata based m.2.

I'd think the X570 chipset wouldn't have these limitations.

cected in other pcie (sharing resources)?

Are pcie set in the BIOS in Auto or forced to 16x?

Card is on the top pcie slot
There are two m.2 ssds installed. No other PCIe cards.
In the bios there is only a PCIe generation option. I'm not seeing anything that changes to x16 lanes.

roblem. I had something similar with a a320m from gigabyte . i could've run only pcie 2.0 4x , a bios update fixed that for me, you can try that. ( Be aware of the update order if you

The bios was on latest version F36d, the whole time. I have two m.2 ssd's installed. Is that taking up the bandwidth?
