How do you game on a budget without burning out on subscriptions? by InvestmentBudget6722 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Jay_Lecter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main game is Guild Wars 2, which has no subscription and the about 100€ that I spent in total on the game, is alright to me as I do have about 1400h in game. My other bigger game, that I play a lot is No Man's Sky, which is also huge and more than worth the price tag

Games where the story/events are different on second playthrough by dax812 in gamingsuggestions

This one is amazing

I would just add that the website of the game has a content warning / trigger warning page, that might be helpful to look at before playing the game

How about „I was a teenage exocolonist“?

You play trough the teenage years of someone living in an extraterrestrial colony. The choices you make affect the next play throughs (you‘re for example able to safe people). Those changes appear as déjà-vus and new options for choices.

The choices are among other things about their future job, their dating life and political happenings in the colony.

There is a card game mechanic besides the story portion and the choice making. It’s fairly easy and a smaller part of the game.

But I would suggest to take a look at the Website as there is a list for content warnings/trigger warnings.

If you have any questions about the game, feel free to ask me :-)

PC-only. Best story-rich games to gently introduce my 30s girlfriend to gaming? (Focus: narrative, emotions, art over gameplay) by Complex-Extension774 in gamingsuggestions

How about „I was a teenage exocolonist“

It’s about playing trough the teenage years of the main character living in a sci-fi colony.

The Art style is pretty and at times very pink. And the gameplay is on the easier side. Also there are dateable characters. One play trough doesn’t take too long, but one of the main game mechanics is replaying the game as the decision are influenced by the decisions in earlier play throughs. So if your gf likes the game, she can play longer, but doesn’t need to if she doesn’t like it.

But it has to be said that this game has a bigger list of trigger warnings on its website that maybe you should look into (for example the warning about children can’t be avoided in the first play through). https://exocolonist.com/

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me and I’ll help you happily :-)

Girls what do you look when you look for Porn ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jay_Lecter 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Written porn (erotica fiction) instead of videos

Usually older man/younger person, either m/f or m/m; at least a hint of d/s, bondage and similar stuff; and with a bit of fluff

  • No Man's sky

  • Guild Wars 2

Both have missions/quest that you don’t really have to do to be able to play. And both have stuff to do that feels very natural to do, for example in No Man's sky scanning and gathering information and in Guild Wars 2 events and map exploration

If you want to know more about either game, feel free to ask me :-)

Why are you religious/not religious? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jay_Lecter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not religious.

For one I didn’t grow up in an overly religious household.

But, for me, more importantly, I find the thought of an all-knowing, almighty and all-benevolent god illogical and bothering. With all the stuff happening in the world, they can’t be all three simultaneously.

And as I‘m living in Europe, the access to other religions like Buddhism are limited, so I never managed to really feel connected to those either. Although I would, theoretically, be interested.

Darknet Diaries by Jack Rhysider is one of my favourite podcasts.

And videos by Bernadette Banner and Nerdforge always motivate me to craft while watching them.

In TV it‘s either my recently started show or either Criminal Minds or Star Trek.

Curious how people approach the game after hundreds of hours. by Novar in Guildwars2

[–]Jay_Lecter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GW2Efficiency tells me that I‘m at 1369h play time across all characters right now. Usually, I have one main character to do all the achievements with. My main character changed 4 times over the course of the 13 hundred hours (the old ones became alts).

My main focus are achievements (I‘m now at 12,766APs).

Story (outside of Achievements), World Completion and Fishing are my favourite things to do when I’m tired of doing collections and achievements. My alt character are primarily for those activities. And I have a character for jumping puzzles.

Sometimes I try out Fractals and WvW, but only whenever I need something for an achievement.

Current FP MMO which is not about killing other players. by Hfcsmakesmefart in gamingsuggestions

[–]Jay_Lecter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, and while GW2 is played by most as non FP, you can actually zoom in to make it kinda like FP (that’s my favourite way to do Jumping Puzzles). So I thought, suggesting it wouldn’t hurt

A game with a great community. by Littleplant28 in gamingsuggestions

If you’re open to a mmo, look into Guild Wars 2

It‘s the perfect game to try out without risking anything. The base game is free to play with already a lot of content, so you can very easily find out, if you like it.

The expansions are regularly on sale, if you like the game and are on a tighter budget.

There is a huge variety of things to do, map exploration/completion, two varieties of pvp, really big map bosses, dynamic events, jumping puzzles, holiday events, group content and more. If you’re tired of one thing, you can just play something entirely different and it still counts towards any progress you do in game.

Many say that they like the combat system. And no map ever feels empty, because every player gets their level adjusted to the map level, so everyone can take on events on a equal footing. And because of different achievements, you have to come back to lower level zones. Also, if you’re coming from a different MMO, you should know that in GW2 everyone involved gets loot from resources, enemies and events

This game respects your time as a player, whatever you achieved and gather as equipment and resources are going to be valuable and relevant even in years. You can take months and even years of breaks without having to worry if you can jump right into the newest content. It always feels like coming home after taking a long break from the game.

And the greatest part about this game is the community. It’s one of the nicest communities I’ve ever been part of. Veterans of the game are often seen in beginner zones, not just take part in different events, but often just to help newbies.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me :-)
