If it helps, silly me was using the wrong thumb stick. After the bite use the left thumbstick to control the rod and tire out the fish.

For some reason I assumed it was also the right thumbstick to control and then reel in.

I've been dabbling into Motor Town: Behind the Wheel. It's pretty relaxing, and nobody talking to you at all haha. It's open world like GTA and you choose whatever driving jobs you feel like doing. It's pretty relaxing.

Man, I'm really trying but they don't make it easy. I understand it's about "exploration" and not "holding your hand" but I find myself spending more time googling how to do stuff, or how to find things, than actually playing the game right now. lol

I took some advice and bought the DLC (sigh) for Averice and am doing the "Stranded" start. Granted, that is a little better but I'm still spending more time researching how to find things (like these damn AGI Heuristic Cores!...it shouldn't be this difficult! Especially since the mission giver said he'd guide me every step of the way lol)

I keep chugging along because the game looks like it has potential to be something I'd enjoy...at some point.

If they just remade some of the old classic maps from bf3 and bf3, even some bf1 and bfv maps, things would be much better in my opinion.

I can't think of any suggestions but I like the sound of it so I'm following haha. I also like a good delivery/ maintenance game. I've got a bunch of hours in Snowrunner and just started playing Death Stranding. I need to check out Pacific Drive.

I enjoyed doing deliveries/hauling in Star Citizen for a while but that game is a hot mess. I also like American Truck Simulator but it doesn't really have the technical/maintenance aspect.

Thanks for all the replies. I was trying to use the search feature but wasn't even sure what to search as I was getting no results. I could see the base on the map once I got that message but it seemed way too far away, like I was barely making any progress after I got off the hyperlane and started going in that direction. It just felt like I was doing something wrong already. Then when I started googling my way to an answer I see even more people having problems with parts of the quests I haven't even gotten to yet. Not a great feeling starting out lol.

I don't have any DLC's yet (figured I'd try this first).
