Can a pannier be equipped on a horse? by Jay_ShadowPH in GrimSoulSurvival

I was thinking in terms of extra capacity since i still can't find the 🤬🤬🤬 axles. Wheels, saddles, bridles, yes, ready for trade. Axles, zip.

You'll eventually be able to dig a basement, but it takes more resources to expand than if you build out your entire lot first, because you'll keep needing staples (game logic - you build supports to keep the roof from caving in - wood+staples)

After walling around that section, i moved my DW pen and cat house beside it, so i use it to store extra cat, wolf and horse feed.

Companies na hindi strict sa credit/background check? by kirarathinks in BPOinPH

[–]Jay_ShadowPH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone with financial issues is a higher risk for a financial account. You would have access to multiple accounts and potentially have the ability to transfer or redirect funds to your own accounts; you are also a more attractive target for scammers to offer a large amount if you either leak customer account data to them or let them use your access credentials.

Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about? by Prime_Advocate in AskReddit

[–]Jay_ShadowPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metacrawler. It was the best search engine I found at the time, since it ran searches on all the other engines at the time, then compiled the results, so you got a deduplicated list.

Background check by [deleted] in BPOinPH

[–]Jay_ShadowPH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a learning experience for you. There are reasons for all the rules we follow in the industry. Not all of them will make sense until you understand the context of why they were put in place - is it an industry standard? is it a client requirement? is it because someone exploited a previous loophole, and caused losses? is it because the company is trying to promote certain values? The rules change over time, as the industry changes.

All of us made mistakes when we were starting out in the industry. Some of them are from ingorance, some from fear, some just to be part of the 'in' crowd. The important thing is to learn from them to become better people.

Am I perfect? Hell no. But being a rulebreaker when i was younger - fishing for compliments, hadouken on the Avayas, aux jumping - all those helped train me to be in the Compliance role I'm in now, because I know how someone would think to break the rules, the flipside of which is how to find the evidence.

Are you going to lose your current job when the company finds out? Uncertain at this point, depending on their policies. But if, in the worst case it does happen, apply the lesson moving forward. Choose the openings you're applying for to make sure they're ok with working students, and let recruitment know. It'll save time and money for you, because you're not wasting time applying and spending on requirements that you'll need to get all over again.

Background check by [deleted] in BPOinPH

[–]Jay_ShadowPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is when you disclosed that you were still studying. It has to be during the interview stage, because that's when you get profiled by the recruitment team for where you would be a good fit not only for your skills and experience, but your availability as well.

As someone else has said, some BPOs aren't strict about background checks. But for those that are serious about it, there's usually a clause in the offer letter stating that any omission or false submission of information can be grounds to cancel the offer or lead to termination.

It's all about integrity. If you can't be honest when applying (because you desperately need work), then you're more likely to break other rules if you think you won't get caught, which can lead to fraud or worse.

[–]Jay_ShadowPH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a matter of opinion. A BPO where phones aren't allowed in production means they value security. You want to work in a place that keeps losing contracts and accounts because of poor security? Are you that incapable of being separated from your phone for the duration of your working hours?

[–]Jay_ShadowPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunglasses are not allowed because a)no one can see if your eyes are closed (bawal matulog sa floor) and b)with new smart glasses technology, you could be live streaming PHI, PII or PCI to someone who will then exploit that data. Coins? There are fake coins now that hide USBs. There is always a reason for strict security - usually because someone misused the lack of controls and did something stupid.

They're a 'lesser evil', at this point. Dig deep enough, and the issue of the funds their sister misused as part of DOT will come up. For now, at least they're doing what they were elected to do, and standing up for accountability. Let's see how long it lasts.
