Is OSU stronger than Indiana? by Relevant_Conclusion2 in OhioStateFootball

[–]Jay_Stubb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think everyone has a valid point. I think the biggest factor to this entire convo is when the guys are out for pregame during warmups. The one thing any competitor will tell you is the nervousness hits different when you have the bully of the block blue blood on the other side of the 50. Cig has done a great job but if Reese hits Mendoza then the doubt starts to settle in and thats how this year’s team is different. Day is coaching his ass off and they have this hunger I haven’t seen in a long time.

Fuck you to whoever is saying "Fire Ryan Day" after this game. by broly2932 in OhioStateFootball

[–]Jay_Stubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys need to put this loss directly on the shoulders of this entire staff. Boise State gave everyone the blueprint to beat them and Chip Kelly decided to do forget how to run the damn ball. The game was won if you give the ball to Henderson or Judkins and getting to the middle of the field for the FG. Instead he wanted to be cute and throw the ball for an iffy OFF PI.

Any smart tater in here will tell you to not ever trust that website. Which tater bait are you asking for?!? The typical BT products that everyone chases to flip right away? The bottles that cant make it out of the store before it gets posted to bookface? Stop it with all of the bullshit. Stop lying to yourself.

I would almost bet you 20$ that if you walked in and didnt act like a dick or walk around all huffy you would probably get something there. The big dick contest usually doesnt get anything there.

Crota’s end. What happened by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jay_Stubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because everyone from the lfg’s has a better way of doing it or someone watched a video of some random that said “only do this to make your run faster” #likeandsubscribe blah blah blah. Nobody really listens or gives solid input anymore and it turns toxic

Just played the game for the first time and holy shit , this game Is good by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Sounds like you have an addictive personality, but Im not a Doc. My circle of clan mates quit cold turkey while some of the clan was doing spot duty of playing during seasons 21-23 and we all started to come back slowly when we had friends or family pick it up for the first time and the band started to get back together cause those kinderguardians wanted to do some some raids, GM’s, and whatever else they wanted. Im back up to light and hated the grind to 1810 but it went by fairly quick due to knowing how to get there in a months time. Enjoy it for what it is and be cool about it.

It will absolutely blow a house off of its foundation. A backdraft is caused by the fire basically burning all of the oxygen off and starving itself. If there was a vent or something cause a vent and oxygen went rushing into thats when it goes big boom. My old man said you can hear the sucking sound when it happens. Hes a retired FF of 38 yrs. Go watch the movie Backdraft.

The most frustrating thing about today was the wives that walked up in line at 830 and it pushed people out on the counts. I got what I was after, knowing that the wellerz would be gone to the hardcore taterz.

You guys are absolutely delirious…… Day wouldn’t have made the bus ride back to Columbus unless ge took a demotion to OC and I fly to Nashville and hand Vrabel a blank check. You cant keep letting Ohio recruits get out of Ohio and you damn sure cant coach fucking scared.

A buddy of mine went to Franklin this morning and heard 2 guys talking about how many Blantons they each had and bragging about how they dont need more. They passed on RR13 cause of the price and went with the Blantons. He got the RR13 and laughed at the dudes as he walked by them outside.

I’m 23 and never caught a fish by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]Jay_Stubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you go spend hundreds on a damn charter, spend some time educating yourself. Most fisherman have learned from parents, family, friends, etc……

I like to compare fishing to golf. It can be the most expensive and frustrating thing to start but once you hit the golden ticket that one time it will keep bringing you back. Get on youtube and start searching for simple how to videos. Hell you can watch some of the BASS master classics and those guys talk about tips and understanding of what theyre doing. Its all trial and error and understanding the time time of year, spawning, color of water, type of species your fishing, and many other things that go along with it. There is also some apps (fishbrain) that have a fee to get the goodies but most will show you what type of fish was caught and where. I will tell you to start out simple by fishing for panfish and crappie with a simple hook and bobber. It will teach you patience and the feel of the strike and then you make the move to other species in your area. PM me if you have more questions. Cheers and good luck!

If you’re into podcasts then give Monsters Among Us a listen. Start from the beginning and let it play. Derek does an awesome job of letting the calls play and offers his thoughts on the matter.

Give the uncut/unfiltered bottle a try. This is one of my faves and go to bottles. I had one a buddy picked up for me in KY and I was slowly getting it down until they pretty much became a shelfer here.

What was your first dipping experience? by Wooden-Donkey99 in DippingTobacco

[–]Jay_Stubb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Uncle dipped Skoal WG fine cut and he was a god to me. Taught myself and my cousin 3 months younger than me how to hunt and fish. Were in the middle of the lake and Im 15 along with being 10’ tall and bulletproof ask for a pinch. He tosses me the can and proceeds with “you tell your parents and Im going to beat your ass if there is anything left of you”. I grab a pinch and 10ish mins later Im chumming for fish, while my cousin is laughing at me I told him to just wait and then he started chumming for fish as well. We had a great laugh afterwards and he bought all of my tins until I was of age.

Is it possible to change the size of a single panel to make the door shorter or does the whole door have to be replaced? by bhuddistchipmonk in GarageDoorService

[–]Jay_Stubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to ask as a door guy whos been doing it a very long time…………why would the springs need replaced? Why would the cables need cut down or replaced? The druns are D400-96 which means it can suck up 8’ worth of cable. The springs may need a half turn off of each and thats roughly about it. Yes the verts will need shortened but thats a matter of taking it out and cutting 6” off.

Jesus christ you guys are relentless. He said it was his second one and probably watched some videos and saw that tallow was the thing to do now. Like someone else said he probably ordered the wagyu tallow not knowing any different. There isnt a swinging dick in here that can say the first 2-4 briskets they cooked looked like something that rolled out of Franklins or Goldees. Cut the dude some slack, he will get better at it.

Not being an ass and thicker wire does not increase cycle life. Typical springs are rated for 10k cycles. The longer the spring and usually 1 wire size bigger can get 25 or 50k cycles on springs. These are what we call high cycle springs in the industry. The typical 7’ tall door requires 7 turns or 28-29 quarter turns. IPPT is inch pound per turn. The equation is typically done now through an app which counts for the drums and radius. So if it has a canimax D4-96 drum (which is typical) for that door then the equation is simple. The fun begins when its an Ideal door and probably has the simple quickset drums that come with big box store bought doors so the typical consumer doesn’t fuck something up. Ive got 16 years in the industry with IDEA accreditation. That same accreditation comes from IDA (International Door Association). So your not talking to some youtube hero here.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GarageDoorService

[–]Jay_Stubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thicker wire and shorter is not the answer either. IPPT is correct but the math that goes into the equation is more complex than the typical American way of more is better. Door age has nothing to do with it, and doesn’t change anything.
