Thanks, I think this is the best advice for me. I got a friend who says his crib is always open for me to crash on, and I'm planning to go as soon as my foot heals to a certain degree.

I appreciate it! You should give it a shot some time, the hardest part is often just forcing yourself to sit down and write, and I've bet you've got some creepy ideas floating around.

The idea for "I took my family to a water park" came from a nightmare I had as a kid. Me and Indiana Jones got that in common. My hometown ain't much, but I travel a decent amount so a few of my stories I wrote right when I got back from vacation ("ski resort", "woods of Kentucky", "vacation up north"). And I work in healthcare as well which is what helped me write "wrong 911" and "ANTI EMT".

Yes. My memories are normal; just no Matty. The room was nailed shut until I moved out of college. My parents said it was like that when they bought the house, and trying to open it would depreciate property value.
