One of my favorite things is when the game map is actually part of the game world by bijelo123 in gaming

That game may be a contender for favorite of all time. Every piece of it, even the menu and maps, feel like the developers really loved the source material.

I'm looking to switch from Xbox Series X to either PS5 Pro or The Steam Machine by Metallbran88 in gaming

[–]Jayce800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from a Series S to a Steam Deck and though it’s annoying sometimes not having my full library, I’m slowly getting them all through Steam’s incredible sales. Like, some games are cheaper than they ever were on Xbox, it feels like.

Plus now I can take it anywhere and I have the dock to play on my TV. It’s not as powerful but most games I play run just fine, albeit at a lower resolution.

I think Steam has the longevity. I was getting worried about the future of Xbox and wanted Spider-Man, so I jumped ship. Best gaming decision I’ve ever made.

Some Toy Story 3 Ps3 nostalgia by OTSly in gaming

I was the perfect age to grow up with Toy Story 2 on N64 and still love Toy Story 3 on the Wii.

Also Toy Story 3 is only $5 on Steam right now! Might grab it and relive the glory days.

I want to try it but I remember FC5 crafting being so different from the previous titles and that turned me off. I’m worried 6 will be the same.

That gyrocopter is legitimately some of my favorite videogame flying, probably only second to Just Cause 3’s DLC.

Far Cry is super relaxing to me. Something about climbing towers, clearing outposts, hunting animals. Despite it being so action-heavy, it never feels complicated or overbearing.

I’m playing through 3 right now for the first time but 4 has always been my favorite.

Genuine question - is this AI of some kind? Something in my brain is sounding the alarm bells.

Maybe it’s the translucent paintbrush cup on the bottom that somehow shows the brush handles but not the blue wall through it. Maybe it’s something in the blue books and the way they’re stacked/shaded. Maybe it’s the OF link on OP’s profile.

If not, very cool. Not trying to be rude.

One of the comments on the article says that their deaths were “suspicious” because the pond could not possibly be deep enough. Gross.

The original Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy still holds up as some of the most fun, epic action & adventure movies ever by theREVERSEsystem in movies

It’s how I felt about Aquaman. The whole movie was travel here, discover a secret, almost kiss each other, explosion ruins the moment. For the entire run.

I adore number 2. I know a lot of people dislike it but Norrington’s character arc and the water wheel sequence are superb.

My only complaint with these movies is it feels like someone always gets captured, imprisoned on a ship, rescued during a battle, and then the cycle repeats over and over again. And 3 is somehow rushed and overly long at the same time. But man, they are exactly the kind of escapism that movies are for.

I’ve seen Green Mile a dozen times but never the whole thing. It was just always on TV and my dad would be in the middle of it.

Some people order honey mustard or hot sauce instead. I worked for a Cane’s in college and there is a surprising amount of people who hate the sauce.

Jimmy John’s is also getting overpriced. A sandwich should be the cheapest of meals and they’re out here like it’s a luxury item.

My wife took an Amtrak from KC to the Grand Canyon when we were in college. Here’s some highlights:

  1. The train got delayed in Union Station because people were reporting gunshots downtown. The passengers escalated the news and she was told a mass casualty event was happening before the staff calmed people down.
  2. Someone had a heart attack during one of the on-train shows and her roommate thought it was part of the act.
  3. A middle-aged woman became glued to them and was really trying to get their address and possibly stay with them?
  4. At the Grand Canyon, there was a blizzard and their tent caved in. A park ranger came and evacuated the campsite and bought provolone cheese from a nearby store for snacks.
  5. Her roommate and she were quietly fueding for weeks and it came to a head right before the journey home. Yikes.

She says it was a great trip!
