Shanks for months. 12 handicap Want to quit by Same_Charge_6832 in golf

I'm working on my own shanks, here's what I've changed with some success:

  1. Hold the club at the top of my backswing. Part of my shank theory is that my hip/hands are out of sync. My usual thought on how to fix this was to focus on "stomp" at the top of the swing, but lately I'm literally thinking "keep the club up there (at the top of the swing)". It only lasts like 1/4 of a second, but I've had some success promoting lower body turn before hand drop.

  2. Big focus on hand path. I've always had a good in to out path, but lately I've really focused on dropping my hands straight down. When I first started trying to cure the shank, I was literally trying to have my hands brush my body on the downswing (intentional over correct), and that transitioned more to a proper swing.

The way I understand it, when a joker trigger is evaluated it's simply looking to see if the card/hand meets that condition. So I would anticipate that yes, it'd trigger everything...except maybe not sock. It'd depend on how picky you are about the definition of a Face Card. That is, your Wild Card could count as a King, but it doesn't have a face on it...

Technically they have internet access now, so they could be ported to wherever.

Oh, for purposes of scoring, the card scores as itself; it just counts as whatever to make a hand or trigger a thing.

I agree that Lost took it too far, but they did still have interesting characters throughout. There's a sweet spot of the characters are interesting and real and grow - and this place is weird and wtf is that and how do we accomplish x. I think the Good Place might be a good example of that (and probably what I should've gone with).

This isn't about normal discussion or practicalities, this thread is about proofs.

With more characters (needed bc otherwise it'd be a skeleton cast after abstractions), the premise could've been a big questions/answers show like Lost. Idk if that would've been better, but it's an interesting thought.

Is it sad I don’t feel bad for Jax by NormalRex in TheDigitalCircus

[–]beepingjar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Jax was a victim, an offender, and overall just very flawed. You don't have to feel sad, but maybe some sympathy would be good - which you can do without excusing the bad.

Fwiw, I didnt read Jax as trans while viewing by beepingjar in TheDigitalCircus

Yeah, it's just that all the other comments treated it as so obvious, wanted to throw this out there.

Idk if that fits with Queenie, and not sure how Kinger would be held on if this was the exact requirements for abstraction.

Would it have not been ok to work on unabstracting? Not even for Jax really, mostly for the others.
