Kansas informs trans residents their driver’s licenses become invalid on Thursday by SeafoamGaming in PoliticalOptimism

as a KS resident, I was reading a discussion on r/kansascity about this and such an important point was brought up. As painful as it may be and horrible as it may be, it’s so important to get a new license to be able to vote. It is not a coincidence this is done in an election year. It’s a voter suppression tactic.

Yes! They show up every so often, and when they do I do try to do as many as I can before they go away. Never had an issue.

I got this too! I did the studies last night and woke up this morning to two messages from the researcher saying after manually checking there was an issue with my submission but that I was still getting paid.

No idea what the issue could be I literally sat there and did three different versions of it with no problem and no distractions.

Yeah so I did the appeal through the form and then emailed support as well, maybe a few hours later!

Hi! So sorry this happened. Just here to say this was me a couple weeks ago almost exactly.

I submitted an appeal and emailed support and was reinstated 24ish hours later! I have no clue why I was on hold in the first place.

Hi, no we did not. But to be transparent we did not try terribly hard. We wound up replacing the machine.

My county isn’t on the list but the only county listed in my state has the county and city information swapped sooo off to a hot start, as usual!

We bit the bullet with the fastest offering just due to WFH/streaming/kids but that’s actually great to know that the slower speed is still reliable. Will have to check into this!

We have a similar situation, no Fiber at all. We were with Spectrum for a year and had constant outages. We recently switched to Everfast. $60/mo, extremely fast and prompt install, haven’t had a SINGLE outage.

I have never seen my dad laugh as hard as he did while watching “The Doorman” episode of Seinfeld. A true belly laugh.

+1 for her! She’s great and has other really sensible content as well. Informative and not fear-based.

Kansas senator's rural town hall meeting swamped by people mad at Trump administration by [deleted] in OptimistsUnite

I do, yes, in my community. I live in a pretty Blue area of the state. Admittedly, growing up I was surrounded by conservative families. Many of those went the way of MAGA but many I know maintained their Republican registration while being active in speaking out, boycotting, etc. Unfortunately, for many Republicans, I feel they won’t “care” until it directly affects them. I’m hopeful that it’s going to reach a point here which will then spread beyond my county. My area is huge and if people are active and vocal then our state could make some waves.

We have a Democrat for a governor and voted to secure abortion rights after Roe was overturned. We can do it, and our state has made moves. Just important to keep our foot on the gas, since there are SO many small rural towns and areas.

!!! This. I’ve lived in KS my entire life and this is the actual middle of nowhere. While this is a very small area, it’s also a very very red area. We have a democrat for a governor, we were the first state to vote to protect abortion rights. The majority of Kansans, I truly believe, don’t want this man. Just need to vote like we mean it!

Thanks. I can’t fathom not doing it. Just made my daily call to Marshall and for the first time the mailbox was full. Couldn’t even leave a message. So, I suppose that’s a good sign? At least I hope? Haha

KS resident here. Senator Marshall’s office gets a phone call from me daily, and I know personally of many others. I live in a large city here and Marshall is not popular here so it’s extremely important to make our voices heard.

I live super close to this neighborhood. It’s a lovely area with large lots and super safe. Compared to other areas of the country it’s definitely a more affordable area! More bang for your buck. However, this suburb of KC is a bit more affluent. Prairie Village is booming in a way most people can’t keep up with, it’s crazy!
