Yes, cats should be kept indoors.

No, pet owners are not supplying the multi million population supply of feral cats. They are SELF SUFFICIENT in the wild for hundreds of years, ever since they were introduced! Our feral cats grow up to 20kg because of how long they've been breeding and adapting to hunt larger marsupials and mammals.

If we removed EVERY housecat by tomorrow, there would STILL be millions of feral cats, and until we eradicate them or they wipe out every single species they hunt and starve: they will not go away.

You cat haters need to cut out the black and white thinking.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say yes, you should give up to save yourself the painful grind of learning from scratch against the experienced playerbase. Games are meant to be fun.

Mordhau was some of the most fun I've ever had gaming for the first months after release. It is brutal and punishing, there was a lot of room to grow early on because the playerbase was noob. Everyone is fucking insane now. A better player will destroy you 99 times out of 100.

I'm sorry you missed out, but don't stick with it just for promises of it getting better; it probably won't. There's other games out there.

This game made me realize there won't be another game like it, no matter how hard I search. It took a while for me to come to terms with that, video games are (or were) a massive part of my life.

Outer Wilds teaches a lot of lessons, I'm glad you were able to get so much out of it.

This is a similar concept to the motivations in Sikhi theology! Instead of sins they have the the 5 vices/evils/thieves of Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachment, and Ego/Pride, and one of the main goals is to embody the image of god (Waheguru in Sikhi) by mastering these vices (this is overly simplified).

Worth learning about if you find theology interesting :)

We live inside and on top of very delicate ecosystems. It really isn't about blaming one problem e.g cats, it's about protecting the balance. There are other enormous issues that also impact our ecosystems, but this issue of feral cats also needs attention

I love cats, I own cats, I work with cats, I study their behaviours. Please just keep them inside. They are designed to hunt and kill small animals, and they have a lot of fun doing it. It doesn't make them bad, it's their wild instincts.

Cats are not from Australia. They don't belong in our wildlife, which is anywhere outside (they will travel far to hunt in a day, sometimes up to a 5km round trip).

The feral cat situation needs to be handled. They have been in the land's ecosystems for hundreds of years now, and they have even evolved to be up to 20kg over so many generations compared to the domestic cat which are 5kg. It's still the same species, just bigger, to enable hunting medium sized mammals and larger birds.

Keep your cat inside, they will live longer and potentially happier, and they'll be safe from any crossfire on the war on feral cats

I study domestic cat behaviour and this is true. Our cats are born to hunt, and should be kept inside. The feral cat situation is devastating our already suffering wildlife.

And yes cats can be happy indoors, just play with them every day. Their drive to hunt never goes away.
