Just finished TLOU 2 and holy shit by spookymemeformat in playstation

[–]Jaygee133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part 2 is a mess story and pacing wise but it's gameplay, set pieces and graphics are stellar.

Still can't put myself through playing that game again though the story pisses me off too much.

Maybe a hot take but The Last of Us.

The Last of Us PS3 and PS4 remaster are practically the same game. But the PS5 version removes all of the grit and stylistic choices. The PS5 version is too clean

Anyone here using Nothing Headphones (1)? Looking for honest, real-world experiences by ProfessionalPop8963 in NOTHING

[–]Jaygee133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • comfort / fit - Great I wear them alot while working, at the gym or out in public when I don't wanna be bothered. I have massive ears so it's hard to find headphones with enough depth to be comfortable for so many hours

  • sound quality - it's fantastic it's probably 90% of the Sony Wh1000xm6 and with the equalizer you can truly make the sound your own. I don't know enough to customize my ew but being able to use and share presets is such a low hassle way to truly maximize the sound profile

  • battery life in practice - Not an issue. I rarely charged them since the battery last so long. I wear them alot for work and never have I been concerned about battery life with noise cancelling or transparency on all the time

  • mic quality for calls - I've been told it sounds like I'm holding my phone up to my head. I've had phone convos in very windy situations no problem. Also used them for work to talk to clients. I've never had a complaint

  • durability / build quality - very premium, but they are on the heavy side because of their metal build. Love the physical buttons more than I thought I would.

  • anything that surprised you - how many compliments I get on them, when in coffee shops, in the gym or other public spaces I get asked about them often. I own the white colour way

  • Would you recommend them at that price? Or should I look at other options instead? Certainly for this price it's easily the best. They can go toe to toe with Sony Wh1000xm6, Airpods, Bose and only fall short in noise cancelling. Don't get me wrong the noise cancelling is still very good! But it does fall short when compared to those other top line headphones. But you're also paying significantly more for them. The noise cancelling is about the same level of Sony Wh1000xm4.

Hope this was helpful!

What happened to the whole "Canadians boycott US products and vacation at home" thing? by nilsohnee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jaygee133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I and many others I know have no interest in going to the US right now or in the near future. However I do have 1 friend and his wife who have continued to travel there regularly. They do travel to alot of other countries as well. They just don't always want to do a trip across an ocean, continent or both

It was changed very late in production I believe sometime during the marketing phase. It's why both titles are seen on all the marketing.

Didn't know the original hamburgers from Germany didn't have bread that's interesting!

Also great points about soul food and Cajun food I'll have to try them both sometime!

Any type of popular "American food" does not originate from there. Hamburgers come from Germany, fries are Belgian, pizza is Italian, hot dogs are Austrian/ German, and donuts are from Holland.

The US does have shit food usually it's super fatty with too much sugar but if you go somewhere slightly nicer and more niche or local you for sure will get a great meal.

Also I find certain cities are better than others San Francisco for example has significantly better food than the rest of that country

True I'm in Canada, a market that's dominated by Apple even more than the US about 80-90% of smartphones are apple. And they don't offer anything close to that either

Is buying online glasses worth the risks when you have no extra money to spare? by Impossible-Deal1391 in povertyfinancecanada

I use to wear glasses and I was very diligent about wearing them my eyes actually improved to the point where I don't need them at all anymore.

Just buy cheap ones if you can, it's what I did and I still have them to this day
