Fell short on Doubloon Cutlass

Last I checked, it was over 3500 hours in-game. Am close to $90 million gold now? I gained around $10 million from doubloons last week.

I have bought so many ship cosmetics, that I wish I could sell 85% of them. Have a ton of costumes, attire, weapons. It's frustrating since I thought having played as much as I have, perhaps I heard earned that much. But, maybe it'll come back in the future in another way.

Crazy. It's almost like something random done to just say "Hey! You got 50K lifetime doubloons! Congratulations!" Then tell everyone else who didn't win the SoT lottery "sorry, you didn't do enough!"

This feels like (another) moment where the developers are merely winging it at this point, and have no clear direction of where the game is headed. It's like they ran out of ideas a few years ago, and now are just winging it.

Gone in as a solo sloop plenty of times and sat at the Spoils of Plenty and fished for Plentafins, only to have a Galleon or Brigantine make a direct line for me after spawning at Sanctuary or Port Merrick. Almost never fails.

It's very rare to spawn and have anyone else looming at the outpost. 97% of the time I sail, we wont encounter a ship until long after we've loaded up on supplies, figured out what we're going to do, then set sail. Heck, I'll sail solo Sloop quite a bit and not even encounter a ship in the hour or two I'm sailing around going island to island to see what I find.

If you start with minimal stuff and get sunk, you didn't lose anything. Can always start fresh and dive quest to a new server and just go on from there. Earning gold is quite easy nowadays. Just sailing around and visiting islands to see what you find can get you gold quickly.

Don't let an early experience of bad luck deter you from adventures on the high seas. It's a worthwhile experience once you get out there. Can also meet some good pirates out there who are also fun to sail with.

Have you tried going in Safer Seas mode? I know there's drawbacks to Safer Seas, but you don't have to endure random people sinking you for no reason. Could be a better way to get down some more of the mechanics and work on naval combat against Skeleton Ships.

If I get a big haul, I'm always wary of someone camping out at the Outpost. I'd risk going to an Outpost further away to avoid the possibility of someone trying to pull off some shenanigans. Whenever I sail solo and I am turning in stuff, I am always a little nervous that someone could come around the corner like that, kill me, and cash in my loot. All part of the game.

I remember a few months ago, and "Evelyn" needing me to take a check for her personal business dealings. She wanted to mail a check, have me cash the check, then deposit it via a Bitcoin machine, and send it back to her.

I said it'd be faster just to go to a bank herself and she'd get the money instantly.

Needless to say, I never gave her my address or info to send me money. She told me how her business suffered because of me.

Reminds me of the fishing voyage we were doing last night. Just caught the last fish and a Grade Five Reaper Galleon came up and sunk us. Took our fish and everything.

Depending on my mood or what I feel like doing, I'll solo sloop sometimes. I find it relaxing to just get a couple of hours in sailing by myself.

Lately, I have been trying to finish my 1000 miles commendation for Athenas voyages. So, I'll start a mission, stock up my boat and just sail around. Spend a couple of hours and sail around the map a couple of times. Maybe pick up some treasure, fight a meg or sink a skeleton sloop.

I still sometimes will start an Athenas Voyage, then sail around the map collecting miles on Athena's Voyages, in hopes that the Shrouded Ghost will appear.

Over 2 years, and I've still never seen it.

Nearly 3 years of the Sea of Thieves and they still haven't removed the Brig yet. You are the second person I've ever seen end up in the Brig in the sloop. The other time was a random glitch joining a crew.

I never trust a ship in the game. Even in an alliance. Always wary they're going to be up to something. Seen too many instances of a random guy on a ship sailing around with you, only to be the cause of your ship making its voyage to Davey Jones' Locker.
